The Revelation. Sophia's Pov. As days went on every part of my routine was filled with fear and dullness. Marcus’s men were always present monitoring my every move, making sure I didn't escape. Life became miserable with no food and water. I felt like a slave in the hands of Marcus who showed no interest in my survival. The room I was confined to became my world, its four walls closing on me. I was a prisoner, both physically and mentally, with no hope of salvation. The room was attached with a camera that made it very difficult to escape. It was as if I was a caged animal. I tried to stay strong to survive this terror, which had kept me in hunger. I wondered what Marcus wanted from me and why he was keeping me here. As the night fell, casting a dark shadow in the room, which blurred the sight of me trying to see through the entrance, the crackling sound of keys drew my attention, leaving me with the thought that someone was at the door. The door swung open with a force that made me jump. Marcus entered the room with anger and curiosity gazing at me in heavy panting. I could tell from his look that something was wrong. He paced in the room for a moment before stopping in front of me. “Do you know what you are?". He asked, his voice low and dangerous. I stared at him, confused and scared. “What are you talking about?". I replied with a pounding heart and gasping breath his eyes bore into mine as if he was searching for something. “You're a werewolf, Sophia.” His voice got me terrified and shocked wondering how he knew my name and where he got such information about me. "I know you're surprised, but you don't have to because I know many things about you.” He chuckled repeatedly and I swiftly interjected in anger. “How do you know my name? Who do you think you are?". He paid deaf ears to my questions and only focused his attention on reminding me of my identity. "You're a werewolf, Sophia.” He said, each word dripping with a mix of disdain and fascination. The revelation hit me like a freight train. “Why did he ignore my questions and only focus on me being a wolf, which I knew nothing about?”. I mumbled under my breath in contemplation. I shook my head trying to process what he had just said. “That’s impossible. I'm Sophia, and I can never be a wolf”. My voice rages in anger with trembling feet. Marcus laughed in a high bitter sound. “You don't know who you are or do you?”. He said almost to himself as he leaned closer, his eyes narrowing. “The full moon is approaching; you will see for yourself.” At this moment, I became more nervous, and fear flowed through my body like an electric wave propelling me to shiver in various directions. His words were like a dark promise, filling me with dread; my mind raced, trying to deny the possibility. “How could I be something so monstrous?”. I was just an ordinary woman but the certainty in Marcus's eyes told me otherwise. The fear of the unknown settled in my bones. Marcus became more watchful, his eyes never leaving me long. His expectations led to his determination to know what I would become when the full moon set. He ordered his men to secure the room, enhancing the windows and doors. The atmosphere grew tense in anticipation of his men standing still looking at me like a lion who is ready to hunt its prey. “Excuse me, can I've some water? I’m thirsty”. I asked with a parched throat, but the men mocked me and refused to grant my request while they made a caricature of me. “We don't give water to prisoners, especially to a monster like you". “Did you just call me a monster? Are you aware you all are criminals? Not only that, you're bloody kidnappers, and you will all be the first to be torn apart if I finally become the monster you're referring to me as". My words kept them mute; my aggressiveness brought out the intense atmosphere of the room, making them look like a ticking time bomb, unsure of when they would explode. I began to realize certain things about Marcus and the reasons I'm kept in here. Maybe he is determined to control me as he wishes, treating me like nothing and using his power to bend me to his will. I was both a prize and a threat to him, and he made sure I understood that. The night of the full moon arrived, and with it a sense of impending doom. At this moment I felt a strange energy coursing through me, an undeniable force that I couldn't control. Marcus watched me with a mixture of anticipation and fear. As the moon rose higher in the sky, the pain began. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced, a severe pain that tore through my body. I screamed, the sound primal and wind. My bone twisted and reshaped, and my senses heightened. I could feel the wolf inside me, clawing his way to the surface. Marcus's eyes opened causing a flicker of triumph and fear in them. “Boss, she's a wolf!" One of his men poked up while the others stood frozen, their knives at the ready, prepared to strike. When the transformation was complete, I collapsed on the floor exhausted and confused. My mind was a complete mess of human and wolf instincts. Marcus cautiously approached me with an unreadable expression. “Now you know,”. He said softly, almost sympathetically. The reality of my new identity sank in, bringing a fresh wave of fear and confusion. “What did this mean for my future”. I said to myself pondering over it again. Marcus seemed intent on controlling me, but I was never sure how much more I could resist. The bond between us was complex which was filled with hatred and unexplainable connection. As I lay there, trying to make sense of it all, one thing was clear: my life would never be the same again.
