The sun began to rise, thus bathing the sky with its intense rays of light, producing a mixture of warm colours to be embedded in it.
Little by little, the people of New York were waking up to begin another day of their monotonous lives. Meanwhile, in a certain building located in the borough of Queens, more specifically in the Middle Village neighbourhood, near Juniper Valley Park. In one of the houses on 78th Street you could find a certain woman with brown hair.
At that moment she was in her bed, sheltered between her soft and warm sheets. His eyes remained closed at that moment, giving her a peaceful as well as serene expression. The beams of light passed through the window above it, and they slowly warmed the blankets that covered her. Giving her a warmth and comfort that brought a smile from her thin lips, making her look more beautiful, if that was possible.
On the other hand, breaking that peace that surrounded him, the phone of our protagonist, Caeli, had begun to vibrate next to her, but her sleep was so deep and pleasant that she had not noticed the vibration.
Although there was someone who had noticed. A beautiful feline with dark and fluffy fur that was sleeping at the foot of the bed, and I mean it was because the phone had woken it up from its snooze. After a really annoyed grunt, he opened his eyes. And they showed a clear anger at the unpleasant awakening he had had. His elliptical pupils went to the place where the hateful noise was taking place.
Snorting in exasperation, he got up and with clear laziness in his movements approached the phone and the moment he discovered who it was who dared to interrupt his sleep, he frowned. It was the damn alarm!
He turned his head sharply towards that young woman who was sleeping and with whom he had already been living for a couple of weeks after his summoning. He climbed on the girl's belly, and calmly began to ascend through the body of others until he was sitting on the chest of others. Managing to make her uncomfortable because of the weight, but still without managing to wake her up.
"Angel," the cat spoke trying to wake Caeli, but she didn't seem to want to or even try to listen to him in her comfort. Hey, get up," she said in a more serious tone, "because if he had f****d up, she would too."
But he received no response from the woman and at that moment that he had her sharp gaze, an idea crossed his mind. The smile on her cat-like lips spread in a picaresque way. His body shone in greenish tones and he went from being that beautiful cat with black fur as the night, to a handsome jet boy with deep and malicious eyes.
Concretizing his image, a cinnamon skin that vibrated with tribal tattoos that furrowed his body, the elongated horns rose on his head, next to pointed ears, following the path just at the end of his back, a thin but stylized tail emerged, finally leaving his menacing and sharp fangs that protruded from his lips, in which was reflected that charming and seductive smile for which many mortals had succumbed, his body -at that moment-, covered by an elegant black shirt that clung to his burly torso, and tight pants that allowed his tail to come out. There he stood on top of the girl and his tail wagged playfully, while the muscles of his tattooed arms tensed as he bent down, leaving his face close to the sleeping girl.
"Angel~," he whispered, bringing his lips to the girl's ear.
And settling in, he left his legs on either side of the brunette's hips, while his hands - holding the upper part of his body - were on the sides of her shoulders.
His smile widened, because that position allowed him to do many things, even with the sheets covering the body of others. “Wake up dear~” he muttered while warm breath caressed the girl's right ear, making the Italian's skin reddish, causing a chill to run through her whole being -still asleep-. But she didn't wake up. And that only made the demon smile more maliciously.
"Hehe, okay it will be more fun to play with you while your body is more honest," he said mischievously and, once again, his lips approached the other's ear, descending in soft caresses to the other's neck and there, with cunning and a certain mischief, he gently bit the other's skin, making the girl's skin stand on end instantly.
As if it were a spring, the girl opened her eyes and sat in place. By that sudden action, the young man fell from the bed, stamping his back against the hard floor.
«You don't wake up with the alarm, but you do wake up when you want to have fun,» thought the demon, frustrated and hurt by the fall, which had made his back creak.
"What do you think you were doing, damn cat?" Caeli asked with annoyance, putting her hand on the area that the boy had bitten, and a certain hatred in his words.
"A certain little angel did not wake up from his restful sleep. A certain helpless little animal was awakened by a strange noise, approached and knowing what it was, simply wanted to help his princess wake up with a kiss from a charming prince” he pointed to himself and smiled as a genuine dandy would. “That is, me.”
"Wow, I didn't know that now demons could be princes," Caeli said, taking her phone and when she realized the time she tensed from head to toe, she had to run to the store to help her mother!
"And that's not all il mio angioletto." The demon spoke, just levitating beside Caeli's bed. "We can be much more than just a little prince," he said, approaching the girl menacingly.
But she, with a quick movement, had escaped the black-haired man's grip, causing him to stamp himself against the mattress when he tried to catch him.
"I doubt you can be much more than an annoying cat," Caeli said with a faint sarcastic smile.
In some hurry, the girl went to her closet and took a set of clothes so she could change. Then she turned to look at the demon. “I'm going out, don't leave this room, understand? I still have no idea what to do with you," the girl sighed, closing her eyes and shaking her head.
"Is that a wish?" He asked her to mock the minor and she growled back. “You know... you can change here, it doesn't really bother me at all," said the boy with a long, cynical smile, as he levitated around Caeli.
"You'd rather p*****t," she pressed the clothes she had chosen against her body and looked suspiciously at that boy with the toxic look.
"Calm down angel~, I won't do anything to you until our pact has been completed.”
"Is there even more?!" Said the youngest, opening her eyes, surprised and speechless at what he had said.
"You haven't asked me for your wish yet, my dear, that's why you called me, remember?" The jet-haired boy asked calmly. “Although you undoubtedly have a messy head, the feelings of humans are really complicated, it gives me a headache to hear everything you want and that you don't decide...”
The girl was silent at that moment, because it was true. She was in that situation because of what he had done a few weeks ago. A bucket of cold water fell on her when Thomirchotch had answered him, but she said nothing. She simply turned, went in the direction of the door to leave the room, and when she took the knob, before leaving she glanced sideways at the demon, and after a sigh, she simply left him alone in her room.
Caeli had almost forgotten it, but now that the sharp-eyed jet-haired boy had reminded her.
At the memory of why she had summoned him, her chest contracted and in a second, her eyes began to sting, and her vision began to blur. Without hesitation she went into the bathroom, washed her face with cold water and looked at herself in the mirror, the memory of a pair of gray eyes made her clench her fists and she could only shake her head to slap herself in the face, trying to clear her head and soon changed to be able to go to work with her mother.
As she left her room, her mother Chiara Bellini, a petite woman with brown, almost blackish hair and green eyes, stared at her daughter. Noticing the sadness in her daughter's expression, Chiara approached her to caress the face or her little girl.
"What's wrong with my little ravioli?" Chiara asked worriedly, noticing her daughter's reddish sclera.
"It's nothing mom, I haven't slept very well, to be honest," Caeli lied, not wanting to worry her mother too much.
"Is it because of Orfeo?" The girl's mother asked again, and she tensed in place. “My dear, if only I could take the weight off your chest and pass it on to me, I would do it without hesitation," the woman said with a sad expression.
The twenty-year-old could only smile and shook her head to hug her mother. The woman closing her eyes, reciprocated the embrace, letting Caeli get rid of the pain that was assaulting her heart at that moment. Although Chiara did not know why she was like this, she simply stayed by her side, as any mother would do with her daughter now of seeing her crying.
After that slight moment of recovery, the two began to eat breakfast so they could go to work together. Normally Caeli used to help her mother at work, when the internship of the art academy did not keep her sleepless, since her mother was alone running the business since the death of her father Alonzo Bellini. They both looked at the photograph of the head of the family that they had at the entrance, and gave him a soft kiss, saying goodbye to him so that they could go to work, sand that the girl's mind would not focus on the problems they had.
There were many bills to pay, and the youngest always tried to get extra money to be able to help her mother with all the payments that could offer a problem for their lives.
Thinking about it, everything had gotten worse since Alonzo's death, it seemed that after the death of that ray of sunshine that was the florist, everything had gotten worse. Chiara's depression due to the death of her husband, the high prices of the antidepressants she had to take, the bills that almost caused them to take away the premises of their business for which they had fought so hard, the high fee they had to pay so that Caeli could study at the prestigious academy in which she was. And that was just her family problems, not to mention the psychological and physical problems she had suffered since her breakup with Orfeo D'Angelo...
So, thinking about it coldly, as she got in the car with her mother to go to the florist. Having a demon that wanted to steal her soul, it couldn't be that bad. That was just another small problem that was added to yet another day in the life of the young woman named Caeli Bellini, a nineteen-year-old girl. Who already had a curse set by cruel fate.
