It was three hours exactly from the time Jed hung up the phone to the time that a black sedan was spotted. A trail of dust followed what Diana could clearly see was a Lexus as it pulled in and parked in the parking lot Jed had carved out in front of the barn.
Workers were hammering and bustling around the riding ring, working on the additions that Neil had designed. Becky and Rodney had gone into town with Danny to pick up some groceries. Diana crossed her arms and stiffened when a hard, muscled arm slung over her shoulders. She relaxed when she realized it was Brad, but when she glanced back at the Lexus and the person who stepped out, she stiffened again.
