Mr Mather’s walked to the back while Dawn cleaned the equipment and made sure plenty of pods and plenty of beans were near the counter. Dawn made sure the fridge and freezer near her had ice cream and milk along with restocking the sodas and the water, the energy drinks and the juices. Mr Mathers turned the radio and hooked a microphone to Dawn’s ear. “Red means mic is turned off. Blue means it’s on.” Mr Mathers said. Dawn nodded. She kept the mic off as she sang until they opened. She walked to each table, placing menus on them and she gave the floor a quick mop again before they opened. When Mr Mathers came out, he made a strawberry milkshake for Dawn and gave both of them a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. “Eat something, both of you.” Mr Mathers said. “Thank you, sir.
