As I slowly opened my eyes, the dim light of the room pierced through my skull, intensifying the throbbing headache. I tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over me, forcing me back onto the cold, hard floor. That's when I saw him - Gunner, sitting across from me, his piercing blue eyes fixed on mine with an unnerving intensity .
My heart skipped a beat as our gazes met, and a mix of emotions swirled inside me. Love, pain, and fear wrestled for dominance, leaving me breathless. I felt like I was staring into the eyes of my past, reliving the memories I thought I'd long buried.
