(Liam's POV) Chloe complained all the way back from the gala. The champagne was terrible. Her feet hurt. I gripped the steering wheel and watched the road. At a red light, I looked at the dress I had let an investor mistake for my wife's. My stomach turned. I remembered Aria alone at old galas in the plain dresses I chose.
