"So there is a lot we have to talk about before we get back to the kingdom pack house," I said to her as I looked at the time on my phone."OK, so what do we have to talk about?" She asked me, staring out the window. "Well, about your curse mark," I told her as I put my phone in my pocket. She bit her inner cheek and looked down, only using her eyes. "What about it?" She asked, giving me a serious look. Why was she looking at me this way? Did she think I was not going to remove it?

"Don't worry, we are still removing it. But I wanted to let you know that you will feel a lot of pain." I said sincerely. "I think I have been through worse pain." She replied and looked back out the window. I just looked at her not having a response. I didn't know a lot about her or her past. I did have her file so I could just read about it, but I also wanted to get to know her on an intimate level.

We were about 2 hours away from the Black Rain wolf pack house now. ''Are you hungry? What is your favorite food ?" I asked her, trying to get to know something about her. She laughed at me a little. "Really that's what you're going to start with to get to know me" She was now bent over laughing, "Tacos or pizza with pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapenos." She said as she calmed down and smiled at me. Her smile was beautiful. It felt warm like the sun.

"I'll have the driver stop somewhere for us to eat. Hopefully, they have your favorite." I said, smiling back at her. "So what's yours?" She asked me and looked out the window like she was shy. "Cheeseburger pizza and spicy ramen," I told her as my stomach growled. She looked at me and we both started to laugh. I am glad we are getting along right now. But I have a feeling once I show her the contract it won't be this way.

After another 30 minutes, we finally stopped in a little town and stopped at a nice little restaurant called Shin. "What can I get you guys to drink this evening?" The waiter asked as he came to our table. "UM, I'll try the raspberry ice tea," Esme said, looking at the menu. "I'll have a coke, light ice; and I think we are going to be just a few minutes before we order food," I told the waiter. He took our drink order and left.

"See anything you want to eat?" I asked her, putting down my menu. "I'm not sure everything sounds so good." She told me, her eyes looking wide like she had never been out to eat before. "Is this your first time going out to eat?" I asked her, trying not to sound stupid. "Is it that obvious?" She replied, hiding her face. "Just a little. How about I order for you?" I asked, smiling. She shook her head and just closed her menu.

I ended up ordering us bacon cheeseburger and a side of fries. "That was the best cheeseburger I have ever had." She said as we were getting back in the car. "Glad you liked it," I said to her, surprised she ate the whole thing. This Girl really can hold down her food. "How much longer is it going to take us to get there?" She asked. I think she was starting to get restless. We have been driving for about two hours now.

"We should be at the kingdom pack house tomorrow sometime around noon," I said to her as my phone started to ring. I looked at it and it was my Beta calling me. " Hello," I answered. "You wanted us to set up the spare room that is inside your room, right?" My Beta, Vance, asked. "Yes, fill it with books and manga she really likes to read," I told him and hung up. "So you did read my file." She said, giving me a sideways glance.

We finally arrived at the hotel that we were staying at for the night. "When we get up to the room there is something we need to talk about," I said as we stepped out of the elevator. She just gave me a curious look. We finally got to the room and her eyes opened up wide. "The suites in the back at the pack house weren't even this big." She said as she walked around looking at everything.

"So is this your first time in a hotel room?" I asked her as I watched her look around. "What kinda free time do you think I had as a slave?" She said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. For some odd reason, I loved her attitude. "OK OK, no need to be bitchy" I told her with a seductive smile. She turned red and looked away. The mate bond was pulling me to her more and more.

"We need to get ourselves under control," I said to my wolf. "You are the only one that has a problem with her being our mate. We should just take her once her mark is removed!" He growled back at me. I pushed him to the back of my mind. "Can you have a seat?" I asked her, motioning to some chairs that were in a square pattern around a wooden table. As she was sitting down, I went over to one of the bags and pulled out a blue folder.

"What's that?" She asked me as I sat across from her. "It's a contract," I replied, sliding it over to her. She started reading it and after she was done she looked up at me. "Your joking, right?" She asked me with a little sarcastic laugh. "They are just rules I need you to follow," I told her with my hand folded in my lap. She gave me an angry smirk.

"Really? Rule 28: All letters are to be read by you before I send them or receive them. OH, and rule 30: I must have an escort wherever I go. But what's more ridiculous is, if I break any rules 1 through 30 I will be punished." She said with anger. She stood up and was storming off to one of the rooms. "You have to sign this or I won't be able to keep our agreement. I said standing up and looking at her. She gave me an angry look and flipped me off.

"f**k YOU!" She screamed and slammed the door in my face. I decided I was going to give her a few hours to process everything. Hopefully, by dinner, she will be in a better mood.

Esme

"I CAN'T BELIEVE HIM" I howled at my wolf. "You need to calm down and just sign the stupid thing." She said back to me. She was right. I could not risk not signing it. I went back out and grabbed the contract. "Am I able to change or add something?" I asked him. "Yes, you can make some changes." He said back as I shut the door to the room I was going to sleep in.

After 2 hours of making changes to the contract, I was finely done. I was done being controlled, so either he was OK with the changes I made or rejected me now. " Dinner." I heard him say as he knocked on my door. I got up, grabbed the contact, and left the room.

"Before I sign, read these changes," I said, throwing down the contract in front of him. I sat down at the end of the table waiting for him to get done reading. I looked down, noticing a tray with my name on it. I grabbed the tray and lifted the lid. On my tray was a medium rare rose steak with vinagrette sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and fried peppered green beans. "I can agree with all the changes except one," he said, sliding down the contract.

I looked at all the changes I made and saw that he did not agree to the one of me having no escort. "Why do I need someone with me at all times?" I asked irritated at this."Because once I tell people you are part hunter from a hunter who hunts for game and sport your life could be in danger." He said with a concerned look on his face. "But I will be able to handle myself fine once my wolf is free," I replied to him, taking a few bites of my potatoes. "But your wolf has never been out. I will level with you to take 6 months of my warrior classes being trained by me and you won't have to have one anymore." He remarked, taking the lid off his food.

"Deal." I said, signing the contract. "I see you didn't say anything to us, mating before the year is up." He said with a smirk on his face, taking a bit of food. "That's because I know it may get harder for us to hold back with my wolf being out," I said sliding the contract back down to him. He gave me a smirk as he picked it up and looked at it. I rolled my eyes at him and just didn't talk for the rest of dinner.

After I got done eating, I decided to go back to the room. "Who knew one thing could ruin a good day? I was trying so hard to get along with him," I said to my wolf. "Girl, it's your hormones. You may not feel the full mate bond yet, but your mind and body are somewhat reacting to it." She barked at me. I just rolled my eyes and went to take a shower. After my long hot shower, I decided to go to bed hoping tomorrow would go by fast.
