CHAPTER 1

Rosalith POV

"Where is she?" I heard Alpha Kayden's voice thunder through the walls of the hallway.

My breath catches when I hear the door being pulled open and shut with a loud thud. Goosebumps travelled down my skin as I hid inside the closet, my lips trembling as I tried not to make a sound.

"You think you could go unpunished after humiliating me in front of everyone?" He yelled and walked towards where I was hiding. His echoing footsteps sent tremors of fear through my veins and I gritted my teeth together.

There was no point in hiding because he could smell me from miles away and I should have known the mistake I made today would make things even more difficult.

I had hoped he would be with Isabella, the woman he loved for being the one who managed to play well with his choice of s*x. Kayden practices b**m and Isabella is the only woman who holds up to his stamina. She is the daughter of the minister but she covets the Luna position. Who knew she would deliberately mess things up for me?

The closet door opened and I looked at Kayden with fear in my eyes. “There you are, you slut” He said in victory and pulled me by my hair. My heart kept thudding loudly, blocking all other sounds.

After Father sold me off to Kayden, His pack became more unified and he got to partner with Kayden in deals that will benefit the pack. Father was blessed with fertile breeders who would help him get a male and enough warriors were supplied to the pack to strengthen it. Father gained a lot by marrying me off and I can't help but hate him.

“No.” I shrieked as he dragged me out and threw me towards the bed.

The side of my stomach hit the bedpost and a groan escaped my lips. The pain was not something I could get used to, no matter how I tried to endure it.

“I don't know what you are talking about Alpha.” I breathed out and he stormed towards me, his eyes brewing with anger.

Kayden slapped me across the face and I swear, I saw red flashes as if blood somehow made its way to my eyes. My head fell back but he dragged me up, making sure my chin was up and my eyes were on him.

“You claim you don't know what you did but you hid here, huh?” Kayden asked and I struggled to break free. I already lost a lot of hair because of the constant way he abused me and whenever I fight back with my wolf, my punishment only gets harder.

“Alpha, I think she is not going to admit it until she sees it for herself. Alpha Sevastian refused to donate to the charity event plan. We will be losing a lot if she doesn't convince him.” Isabella said and I wish I could stand up and give her a good beating of her life.

She threw a document at my face and Kayden picked it up for me to see.

“We are terminating our contract to donate one hundred thousand dollars for the charity event.” I read the clause and a shaky breath escaped my lips.

This is a big problem and it will be hard to get out of it. “AHH," I let out a cry when Kayden pulled my hair tighter and my scalp hurt badly.

“You will go back to where his room is and try to coerce him into signing the initial documents I gave him. God save you, Rose and he refused. Then consider yourself dead because I am betting your life on this.” Kayden said with gritted teeth and my eyes widened in fear.

“I will explain Alpha.” I forced the words and swallowed the lump at the back of my throat. “My plan was to serve Alpha Sevastian like you said but I didn't know the wine would spill on his clothes. It was Isabella who deliberately pushed me.” I said and it was nothing but the truth.

Isabella's eyes flashed with fear but it disappeared immediately as she stepped forward.

“She is a liar Kayden. You can't seriously believe her. How will I push her when I was with you all along?” Isabella said, " I wish the ground would just open up.

The shame, the harsh punishment and the endless pain I have suffered after getting married to Kayden was not something I had hoped for when Father sold me off to Alpha Kayden two years ago.

It was my worst nightmare in which I could not wake up no matter how much I tried to convince myself. Two f*****g good years and Kayden has never been good to me.

I thought being a Luna would somehow earn me a good reputation that would somehow make me assist Kayden to lead the pack but the day we became intimate, our very first night and he realised I was not a virgin, things have never been the same.

He is cold, callous, ruthless and everything I wish my husband would never be. But here I am, a prisoner to this abusive marriage which I can't let go of.

Kayden slapped my face again and that seemed to bring me back to earth after zoning out.

“Are you seriously going to blame Isabella?” Kayden asked, the corners of his lips pulling up to form a smile.

Once he gives me that signal, I know nothing good is going to come out of it.

“She left your side. You have to believe me. I am your Luna, Kayden.” I cried out but that only earned me a punch in my gut.

What kind of man beats his woman? What kind of man treats his woman like an animal? I am his Luna and yet he only treated me like a prisoner.

“And I told you you should f*****g respect me.” He yelled out like a madman and took the button of his shirt.

“Get me the whip, Isabella. She needs to be taught a lesson.” Kayden said and rolled up his sleeve.

“No. You can't do that Kayden. She is your Luna. If anyone should hear this, they will think I am the one giving you all these instructions.” Isabella said softly and gave me a triumphant look and that was the trigger for Zara, my wolf, to get angry.

My claws advanced towards Isabella but she quickly stepped back.

“You need to cage her!” she yelled and stood behind Kayden.

Kayden walked towards me and took hold of my wrist. “You will listen to my command Rosalith. Go on your f*****g knees.” Kayden said in his Alpha voice and Zara went back into hiding.

His mark was the brutal punishment given to me. Bearing his mark when he is not even my mate always made my skin crawl. He has control over me and he always uses it as leverage.

I got on my knees and he laughed out like a beast. “It's actually not that hard to control despite her Alpha wolf," Kayden said and Isabella laughed.

There was a knock on the door and Isabella quickly went on to check who it was. When she came back, she had a document in her hand.

“You won't be needing her help anymore because Alpha Sevastian signed the documents,” Isabella said and presented the document to Kayden.

His eyes scanned the document and he heaved a sigh of relief. “I don't know how you did it but you are a lifesaver, Isabella,” Kayden said and he kissed her lips roughly in front of me, his hand all over her body.

“I managed to pull some strings here and there but I didn't know he would eventually agree to sign it,” Isabella said and shrugged his shoulders.

“This calls for a celebration.” He said and brought his phone.

“Send Rosalith to the dungeon and I don't want her to be fed or offered a drink,” Kayden said over the phone and I shut my eyes; his words were like daggers to my fragile heart.

“No Kayden. I want her to be with us tonight. You said you will be intimate tonight. This is all I wish for.” Isabella said and I shook my head, a cry threatening to fall from my eyes.

“I will accept any punishment, Alpha but I don't want to see this. I will go to the dungeon as said,” I pleaded, my voice filled with panic and Kayden's eyes lit with surprise.

“Now this is new” Kayden said and continued as he walked towards me. His rough hand tilted my chin up and he licked his dry lips.

“You know I have always brought a woman to my bed every night but it was all behind your back. It won't be bad to make you watch it.” Kayden said and I spat at his face.

“I hate you!” I cried out and he cleaned his face with a hanky he brought out.

Kayden stood up and a maid came in. He must have mindlink with her because she got here quickly.

“Have her washed up and wear sexy lingerie for her. It's been a long time since I touched you Rosalith.” Kayden said to the maid and I clenched my hand into a fist.

“I know you won't mind sharing me with her right?” Kayden asked Isabella but she knew better than anyone that it wasn't a question.

“Of course, my king.” She answered and they both walked towards the door.

“Get her ready in the next ten minutes,” Kayden said and pulled the door open.
