The engagement announcement appears in the territorial newsletter on a Tuesday morning. I'm sitting in the campus coffee shop, reviewing game footage on my laptop when Isla plops down across from me with a folded paper in her hands.
"You need to see this," she says, her expression grim.
I look up from the screen showing our power play formation. "What is it?"
"Just read it." She slides the newsletter across the small table.
