The headache starts during film review.
One moment I'm watching game footage with the team. The next, pain explodes behind my eyes like someone's driving a spike through my skull.
"Blackthorn." Coach Thorn's voice sounds distant. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." I squeeze my eyes shut. "Just a headache."
"You've been having a lot of those lately." Ethan's voice comes from my left. "Maybe you should see Dr. Stevens again."
"I'm fine." I force my eyes open. The screen in front of me doubles, then triples. I blink hard and it returns to normal. "Just tired."
