Finding Path to the City of Peace

Townsend was sacrificing himself

"Clara, stay away from me. Don't let you be infected. Stay away, now!" Townsend shouted as he is in panic.

Clara just goes back three steps. She saw the man sadly.

"There must be a way to cure you, sir. I will find it for you," Clara said as she looking for anything she believe could cure Townsend.

"You will find nothing, Clara. This disease can't be cured. Everyone who had been infected by zombie viruses can't be cured. You must go, Clara. Leave me for your live!" Townsend said as he grimacing in pain.

"No, I can't leave you to die. There should be something can help you such like alcohol and bandage," Clara said frantically while trying to look for objects than can help Townsend.

When Clara was being busy to look for something can help Townsend, many growls heard outside the house.

"Aahhh! Holy crap! They are coming! Clara, get out from this house! Leave me, save your live!" Townsend shouted as he raising up then preparing to face the zombies.

Clara just stared at Townsend. She didn't know what should she do.

"I can't get out, sir. They surrounded this house already. Maybe my lucky will end here," Clara said while trying to not crying.

"Don't worry, I will distract them. When it happens, you must run quick. Don't look at back. Your lucky is still exist. But mine is no more," Townsend said as he preparing a wine bottle which filled by gasoline.

Clara just noded her head. Then she prepares to get out from the house if Townsend succeed to distract the zombies.

A sound of destroyed door heard followed by several zombies get in to the room where Townsend are standing while holding wine bottle which has been ignited.

Then an explosion occurred followed by Townsend scream. Then the house is on fire. The zombies which entered the house burned until die for second time.

When the house is on fire, Clara gets out then running off somewhere. She left Townsend who was burnt inside that house.

Clara ran away the house when several zombies come to catch her. She runs fast although her left leg is in pain after jumping when getting out from the house.

Now, Clara reaches a gas station when the zombies didn't chase her anymore. Clara is still thinking about Townsend, the man leading her so far. The man was unlucky but Clara hopes him could survive.

Although those zombies didn't chase her anymore, there are several the infected people are wandering around the gas station. Some of them saw Clara are growling then they are running at Clara.

Clara ran quick to the gas station then entering a minimarket unit which has been abandoned for long.

The night is almost dawn. It is still dark. Just solar lamps that enlighten the gas station.

Clara is hiding inside the minimarket. The lamps that inside it were turned off. While hiding, Clara is trying to find something that can be eaten. But the minimarket is empty. Just empty minimarket shelves there.

Clara hears those growls of zombies are getting closer to the minimarket door and windows.

Clara goes away from the area that can be reached easily by zombies. While walking backward, Clara found a hatchet hanging on the wall.

The hatchet has a medium handle. So, the tool can be used on medium range. But Clara has no idea how to use the hatchet.

Clara is trying to get out from the minimarket by following a hidden room behind cashier bench. The hidden room might was minimarket warehouse. It's very dark inside it. But Clara unintendedly found a flashlight. So, by using it, Clara can see around the room.

Then Clara is following path between pile of boxes. Those boxes were empty mostly. But several of those boxes filled with expired goods.

Clara arrived front of a big box. The box is bigger than other boxes. Suddenly, inside the big box heard a grunting. Maybe there is a zombie inside it.

Clara walked backward then trying to find another way. But, something inside the big box growls followed by the destruction of the large box.

A weird creature appeared from the destroyed large box. It looks like a monitor lizard on large size. But the big lizard can stand with two feet while another feet functioned as hands.

The monitor lizard is walking closer to Clara. Of course Clara runs away the monster. But that lizard attacks Clara by it's large tail.

The lizard tail succeeds to hit Clara until thrown and hitting boxes.

When in supine position, Clara saw that the lizard is an infected. The infected animal exactly. Might the animal has mutated into giant lizard after be infected by zombie viruses.

When the lizard ran after Clara, she evades quick. Then Clara gets out from the warehouse through a broken door. After passing the door, Clara runs to a river which flowing it's water. The river is behind the gas station.

Then Clara is trying to cross the river by swimming in it. But, something horrible happens.

Many skinny hands appear from underwater then grabbing Clara.

"Aaaa! f**k! Get off me!" Clara screamed as she attacking those hands by hatchet.

When attacking the underwater living skinny hands, Clara sees some horrible faces appear to the surface of water. In panic, Clara attacking until the water colored red by blood.

When Clara succeeded to escape from those creatures grip, she climbs the shore of that river. Then seen many corpses floating at water surface.

Clara has succeeded to escape from the lizard and those underwater zombies. But, new problem appears.

Clara saw high cliff front of her. So, she must climb the cliff if doesn't wanna go back to gas station.

"Dead end but I can't come back. The zombies will catch me and no one can help me. Mr. Townsend has been no more. Poor guy. I hope he still alive to see what I have done lately," Clara muttered as she sitting on a rock.

She is waiting for morning. When the morning come, Clara will climb the cliff or find another safer track.

Meanwhile inside the burning house. Townsend survived from zombies attack but he is injured badly caused by blazing fire.

The blazing fire has burned his infected hand until it can't be moved. So, Townsend just can use his left hand to do anything include holding a metal stick that he used to kill zombies.

"So, they couldn't kill me?" Townsend muttered. "Fine. By this left hand, I will cut Ballam throat off! He is the bastard!"
