( TESSA'S POV )
"Yes, where are my children?" I asked quickly while holding on to his shirt.
"I don't know," he started to say. "They should be where you left them."
I left him instantly and took to my heels. I felt my feet on the cold ground. I was running so fast and so hard like I had never done before in my life. For goodness sake, I didn't run this fast when Rayner was kidnapped. Now, the case was beyond normal. I had to run fast and that was that.
I heard the short guard's footsteps just beside me. He was running so hard just as I was doing. He was muffling out some words but I actually couldn't make those words out.
Finally, I heard what he was saying.
"Why are you running so hard, my lady?" He was asking me.
"Just let it be!" I shouted back loudly.
