Alex ran her gaze through the school building as she stepped out of her mom's car. School was hard enough for her but changing schools meant death, she hates the stares and the eavesdropping above all she hated making friends, they later turn out to be your biggest problems and baggage too. 'Alex'her mom snapped her out of her reverie. She knew her mom was getting angrier by the moment. Alex nodded and they both moved towards the school's entrance.she and her mom are both alike but only in body features, they never got along, her mom hates her guts and calls her a silent killer. "Please where's the principal's office?".she heard her mom ask someone,a short, beautiful girl. She didn't hear her reply was too occupied in her thoughts to listen to their little talk, something her mom was great at making conversations. ''You are doing it again" "What?"she replied sharply even though she knew what she was talking about, shutting out people, she loves tuning out their talks. "Never mind its nothing, lets go". Alex knew automatically that she was doomed. She was never a picture perfect daughter her mom has always wanted, girls who actually put on dresses and heels, she was,has always been and would forever be a tomboy. The exact replica of what her mom didn't want. Slowly, she let her foot move her towards the principals office. They saw a minuscule office, more like a cub, where a middle aged woman told them basic things they had to know like the school rules and regulations and also gave her the school map while her mom went to see the principal, she sat there choosing her subjects and checking her timetable. "Hey xondria,go in" her mom said as she came out of the principal's office.she stood up and went into the office, already getting tired of the school. "Hey,kiddo"The principal,a man, said as she entered without even looking at her. "Good morning sir"she said out of courtesy.Within some minutes of talking with him,she eventually got tired of the Q and A session but held back the urge to tune him out and stare at her nails or memorize the chemical equation she found last night. After about an hour or so,he released and directed her to class. The class had already started and was in full swing already. "Good morning"she greeted and was replied with a nod. She moved to the rear end of the class as she hated seating at the front of the class. The girls were staring at her like she had something on her face or body. She glared at one as she settled down. “b***h” the girl whispered underneath her breath,Alex ignored and acted like she didn’t hear. She wasn’t ready for trouble in her new school so she brought out her notes and pen. The class was so boring as it was her least favourite subject,English and literacy. She hated the subject but dreaded failure so she paid attention. At some point she stopped writing and doodled behind her note. “Class rep, please call out the class roster and get the details of the new student. Also get their notes to me before the day ends.” The teacher said as he left the class. The class rep called out everyone’s name except her’s.He came to her table after calling the class roster. “Hi,my name is Al-Farsi Mohammed but I go by Ahmed.” He said smiling and she wondered how someone as gentle as he is was able to control the class. “Am Alexondria Adrian” she returned his smile as she collected the paper he was pointing at her. He explained to her that as class rep he keeps record of all and submits to class mentor. Also what the piece of paper meant. She realized he was soft spoken but outspoken,a quality found in leaders. Ahmed gave her his notes to get a grasp of what they had been taught since resumption. The day went on smoothly until lunch break when she went to the cafeteria. A girl poured orange juice on her. “Dude” she shouted when the juice poured on her body. “Oops, looks like Barbie just got stained” she laughed as other girls joined her. “What the hell, you can’t even apologize for spilling your dirt on me?” Alex said taming her anger. They laughed then it dawned on her that they were the bad bitches. “You messed with the wrong g**g,girl.” The g**g leader said and left. Alex stood and continued staring as the girl left thinking of the possible cause of the drama. Noticing people were watching her,she walked to the nearest table she could find and sat down.
