Lunch With The SSG Officers

1355 Words
Alicia's PoV I haven't seen a cafeteria like this before. There are waiters, tables made of metal with a very strange designs on it, and walls made up of glass. A chandelier in every corner followed by smaller light bulbs in a unique shape. I thought, those classrooms are different. But this cafeteria is really something. It's giving off a wealthy vibrance. It's lunch time and I'm currently waitin for Alvin. As our agreement earlier, I should treat him for lunch. I don't know what's taking him so long. "Sorry, I'm late." I heard Alvin shouting not too far. Was that necessary? I noticed a few more new faces following him. They all wear the same uniforms but it's different from ours. "I'm sorry for making you wait. We had a very urgent meeting," Alvin said when they reached the table I occupied. "It's okay, no worries," I mumbled, giving him a smile and then to the faces. "So, you're Alicia?" a red-haired girl asked. Her hair is long and straight. She also has this pink lips that will took your attention before anything else. "The transferee?" a short guy asked in confusion. Hid hair is brown and when I said he's short, he really is. A first glance, you'll thought he's an elementary stundent. "Yes, I am," I managed to answered. "The President told us about you. And what happened to you this morning. My name is Camille." She offered me her hands and I took it for a shake hands. "I'm Gabreil." He smiled as we shook hands. He's cute, but really looks like an elementary student. "Nice meeting you both," I said. "Shall we eat?" Alvin exclaimed. Forcing my hands and Gabreil's to separate. "Relax, dude." Gabreil laugh really hard. We sat and a waiter approached our table. Alvin managed our orders. All I can hear is the set of food he's ordering. "How's your first day?" Alvin asked after the waiter left. "Seems good," I answered. "I'm sorry to interupt." Camille bursted. "I can really see your pretty face behind those glasses," she then added. "Ah, no." I forced a laugh. I suddenly felt embarassed. "Am I the only one who told you that?" Camille asked. I didn't answered her back. I looked down, staring at my hands on my lap. "You haven't told her that, Alvin?" I looked up at her in shock. I saw her staring at Alvin with a smirk on her lips. Gabreil chuckled, making fun of Alvin. "No, what?" Alvin stated. "You poor little guy." Camille laugh together with Gabreil. "Don't mind them," Alvin whispered. "But yeah, you're beautiful," he added. I can feel my face heat up. I tried to looked away so that no one can see my face. Thanfully, our orders came. I was a bit shocked because it's too much. Well, we're four stomachs here. I don't see a problem with that. We started eating as they talked about some event that I don't know. Seems like the campus is celebrating something. I can also hear the other students chattering near our table. I could care less as I enjoy my pasta and break. "Looks like the lone wolf already found a pack," a familiar voice stated, followed by her irritating laugh. "And what do you mean by that, Janina?" Camille stood up, ready to get near her. "Oh, nothing, Miss SSG pet." Janina laugh again, mocking Camille. "At least I'm not a lich," Camille fought back. Their little argument became a huge commotion as Camille went straight to Janina and bumped her shoulder. That made Janina fell on the floor, capturing the attention of more students. "You, b*tch!" Janina grunted. Camille looked down at her, giving Janina a manacing smirk. That made Janina more angry. She stomped her foot as she got up. She was about to attack Camille but someone grabbed her left hand. "Just who do you think you are?" It's Alvin. He's calm but I can see on his face that he's mad. This is getting interesting. "Let go of me, Alvin!" Janina shouted. "What if I don't want to?" Alvin asked. Janina crawled in pain. I think Alvin hold her hand tighter. I don't want to be mean, but I think that's what she daserve? "One more wrong move, Janina. I could get you out of this campus for the rest of your life." Alvin stared at her. We can see Janina trembling. It's funny how a tigress instantly became a very afraid little kitten. Alvin let go of her hand. Janina directly looked me, it's like she's blaming for all of this. I shrugged my shoulder, mocking her more. I saw her fist clenched but she can't do anything. She left stomping her foot making all the student's gazes follow her. I suddenly heard Camille laughing. I looked at her in confusion. It's like, nothing happened. "She's really into you, Alicia?" Camille said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Janina really likes t mess with you," Gabreil answered. "Oh. I don't really care," I replied. "Let me know if she messed with you again," Alvin mumbled, making me looked at him. I blinked thrice. Not really sure why. I guess, I'm confused? And shock? Maybe! "That's my boy, President!" Camille cheered. "Just continue eating, please." Alvin looked away. I suddenly realized something. I've been hearing this a lot lately. I haven't asked them about it. "What do you mean by President, Camille?" I asked. "Oh! You don't know?" I shook my head no. "Alvin is our SSG President, Gabreil is the Vice President, and I'm the Secretary," Camille stated. Oh! Now I know. "Sorry, we haven't told you. We thought, you already knew," Gabreil said. Camille pointed her fork to Alvin. "Actually, I thought Alvin already mentioned it to you. He was talking like crazy about how you ended up with a deal for lunch." She rested her haid on her left palm. "How romantic," she added. There was a moment of silence. It's kinda awkward but I can see how calm Camille is. "Oops! My fault, I overshared." Camille then laughed. "Whatever!" Alvin grunted, making Gabreil laugh with Camille. Seems like their friendship was something. Now I feel jealous. I never had a friend since I'm six years old. "Are you done eating?" Alvin suddenly asked. "What?" I asked in confusion. "You're not eating anymore. Are you done?" "Ah, no. Some things came up in my mind." I answered. "Mind sharing it with us?" Camille asked. "Nothing important," I mumbled. I continue eating, we all did. We managed to finish all the foods in our table before the bell rang. Since I'm not yet familiar with my schedule, I grabbed it on my bag and looked at it. I don't remember seeing this building before. I think I'm on a hunt again. I shook my head in frustration. "Is there any problem?" Alvin asked. Maybe he noticed my gestures. "I don't know where's this building." I hander him the paper. "Oh, we're in the same class," Camille stated. I let out a sigh of relief. I really thought I'll spend hours finding it. "Then we should hurry," Gabreil said. We all went outside the cafeteria. I can see students running, probably on their way to their next classes. I just followed the three in front of me. I'm still confused. Why are they treating me like this? It's not like what the other students do. But, I'm still grateful to them. I was so full of myself being alone again in this campus. Guess this time it'll be different. Our classmates stared at us when we enter the room. Most of them are in shock. Maybe because they saw me with their SSG officers? Is that a big deal? "You can sit here," Alvin said, pointing a vacant chair beside his. I nod in response. I can't manage to speak, not when there's a lot of gazes. They only stopped staring at us when the professor arrived. She immediately started her lecture. All I can do is try to focused in her. To be continued...
