He strode forward, like d wall.shielding Serena and her child behind him.

The way he looked at me was laden with accusation,.

"Luna, if you have a problem, take it up with me, the Beta. There's no need to make things difficult for a child.”

My heart felt like it was being sliced back and forth by a rusty knife, the pain making it hard for me to breathe.

This was my Alpha, my destined mate.

I fought back tears that threatened to spill, my voice trembling as i spoke.

Alpha Aaron's expression shifted in shock, instinctively glancing at the bruise on Leo's forehead, a flicker of concern flashing in his eyes.

She said between sobs.

From a vantage point Alpha Aaron wasn't aware of, Serena discreetly pinched Tiger's leg hard.

Tiger immediately burst into tears,wailing as if he might faint from distress.

Seeing the bruises on his body and the redness on his cheek, Alpha Aaron's brow furrowed in a knot.

But when he looked back at me, any trace of guilt that had briefly flickered in his eyes had completely vanished.

I stared at him, desperately trying to find traces of my husband on that unfamiliar face.
