Hawthorne walked into his house, filled with silence, after his meeting with Aia and Zack. The scent of cold air seemed to carry memories of his past. As he walked in, he heard the sound of ice clinking in a glass. Reaching the living room, he saw his grandfather sitting on the sofa, sipping whiskey, lost in thought.
"Grandpa," Hawthorne called out, his voice laced with concern. "Why are you here? Aren't you sleeping?"
His grandfather looked up, his eyes filled with sincerity and sadness. "Hawthorne, you're back. Sit down." His grandfather's tone carried a weight. Hawthorne hesitantly sat beside his grandfather.
"What are you thinking about?" Hawthorne asked, his heart filled with worry. He knew his grandfather held back things, and there were questions he needed to answer.
"I'm just thinking about what happened to us, to our family," his grandfather replied, his voice filled with contemplation. "I'm looking for a solution to our situation."
Hawthorne was confused. "What do you mean, Grandpa? Is this about the ledger?"
"Yes," his grandfather replied, his eyes seeming to light up. "I'm wondering why it's gone. You know how important that ledger is to our business. Don't think I don't know what's going on."
"Grandpa, I don't know how it disappeared," Hawthorne replied, his emotions becoming turbulent. "But I want to fix it. I don't want you to doubt me."
"I don't doubt you, Hawthorne," his grandfather said, his voice filled with understanding. "But—" he paused, searching for words. "I know your plans, and I know you're stubborn about Aia."
Hawthorne was taken aback. "Grandpa, I can't forget her. I want to make things right with her. You can't stop me."
"I know, but you need to understand my reasons. I've been keeping you away from her for a long time because I know it won't be good for you. Memories are tied to the decisions we made before," his grandfather replied, his eyes filled with concern.
"But you can't stop me, Grandpa! I want to fight for my feelings for Aia," Hawthorne insisted, his voice filled with determination. "If you truly care about me, you shouldn't stop me from feeling what I feel."
"I know she's important to you, but I'm also thinking about your future. Our decisions have consequences. Past mistakes can come back to haunt us," his grandfather said, his voice filled with understanding.
"Grandpa, you shouldn't take away the chance for me to be with her. I want to show her that I've changed," Hawthorne replied, hope burning in his heart.
"Remember, Hawthorne, love isn't just about feelings. You need to consider the people around you and the decisions you make," his grandfather said, his tone filled with sincerity. "I'm not saying she's not important, but you need to be careful."
As the two talked, Hawthorne's passion continued to burn. "Grandpa, I'm ready to fight for Aia. If I need to make sacrifices, I will. I can't go back to the past filled with loneliness."
With those words, Hawthorne's grandfather reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I understand, grandson. But I hope you also think about the consequences. Life is full of trials, and love isn't always easy."
"I know, Grandpa. But I can't avoid what I feel," Hawthorne replied, his emotions burning. "I'm ready to face any challenge for her."
"Ultimately, the decision is yours. I'm here to support you, but I hope you think carefully about the steps you take," his grandfather replied, his tone filled with concern.
As the two talked, Hawthorne's thoughts continued to race. He knew there were times he needed to fight for his feelings, but memories of the past continued to haunt his mind. He wanted to make things right with Aia, but he knew it wouldn't be easy.
Behind his grandfather's words, there were lessons Hawthorne needed to consider. The fight for love wasn't just about feelings, but also about decisions and the people around him. In the end, he would decide how he would fight for his love for Aia.
In a dark room, a woman cried. Each sob felt like a wave crashing against her heart. All she could say were words filled with anger and revenge. "Let me go! I can't take this pain anymore! I'll get revenge! I can't forget what you did to me!"
Her voice, filled with grief and rage, echoed through every corner of the dark room. Her body was weak, as if she were losing hope. In her mind, memories of her past returned – events that caused pain and disappointment. In her vision, the shadows of the people who had inflicted wounds upon her became clearer, and their eyes seemed to burn with anger.
Because of the woman's deafening sobs, Hawthorne suddenly woke from his dream. His heart pounded with fear and worry. "Aia?" he asked himself as his consciousness gradually returned. He knew the woman in his dream was none other than Aia. The words she had spoken caused great concern in his mind.
In those moments, questions swirled in his mind. Were my decisions right? Do I need to fight for Aia even though the memories of the past are becoming more difficult? His conscience seemed to burn, questioning the true value of his decisions.
As he thought, Hawthorne decided to open his laptop and look at documents and records that might help him. But in the back of his mind, the words Aia had spoken in his dream kept returning.
"Why did you leave me? Why didn't you help me?" Those questions felt like bullets hitting his heart. He knew there were times when he was the cause of her choices, but he didn't want to endanger his grandfather, who had raised him. The memories of his grandfather, his sacrifices, and the dreams he had passed on to him felt heavy in his mind.
A moment later, Hawthorne decided to call Aia. "What if I talk to her?" he asked himself. "She needs to know what happened, but how can I involve her in all of this?" Worry burned in his heart.
He grabbed his phone and tried to call Aia. But in his mind, a voice whispered, Be careful, Hawthorne. Your decisions have consequences.
As he thought, he remembered their past – the good days they spent together, the laughter, the promises, and the dreams that seemed to be shattered by mistakes. "I need to fight for those memories," he told himself. "I need to show Aia that I've changed and that I'm ready to face everything for her."
But behind his decisions, the fear of falling into the mistakes of the past remained. "If I can't be with her, how can I make things better for her?" he asked himself. The questions and fears seemed to intensify.
In those moments, Hawthorne decided to face his fears and doubts. He knew that the fight for love wasn't just about feelings, but also about decisions and the people around him. Finally, he was ready to fight for his love for Aia, even if challenges lay ahead.
