Alex’s Point of View I unlock the door as quietly as I can. The lights are off, the TV murmuring softly from the living room. I step inside and I immediately see her, curled up on the couch, blanket pulled up to her chest, her face pale and drawn even in her sleep. One arm is tucked awkwardly under her, her brow faintly furrowed like she can’t quite get comfortable. My chest tightens. “Hey…” I whisper softly, not wanting to startle her. She exhales softly, then shifts and winches, but she doesn’t wake up. I set my keys down slowly and move closer to her. I crouch in front of her, watching her for a few seconds. “Yeah, that doesn’t look comfortable.” I murmur before carefully sliding an arm under her shoulders and another beneath her knees. She stirs. “Alex…?” Her sleeppy voice
