Melia’s Point of View My phone pings on the nightstand. I ignore it, turning onto my side and closing my eyes. Then it vibrates again. And again a few seconds later. I sigh softly. Clearly whoever this is, isn't going to stop. Careful not to wake Alex, I sit up slightly before reaching for it. I see the number and my stomach tightens before I even open the messages. I already know who sent them. His number isn't listed on my phone anymore but I recognize it. I know I shouldn’t open the message but I still do it. --- Michael: I know it’s late. I’m sorry.
