Alex’s Point of View My phone buzzes on the counter just as I’m pouring myself a drink. I glance at the screen and see her name. Melia. I grin and answer immediately. “Hey, wife.” She lets out a small laugh, the kind that sounds half amused, half exhausted. “Hey, husband.” I lean against the counter. “What’s up?” She hesitates for a second before saying, “So… I am pretty sure Michael is on his way to your place.” My brows lift. “Oh? That sounds fun. Why?” She sighs. “Because he wanted to see me, and I told him about us.
