“I owed it to my best friend to make the best with the remaining years I have left to live and I’ve damn well made sure that I have,” Alessandro said.
“Does Maya know the truth about her parenthood?” I asked.
Alessandro hesitated for a bit. “She was a little child back then, not more than two years. I doubt if she ever remembers calling anyone other than myself her father and my subordinates who’ve been with me from the start know better than to talk about this with her.”
