Emily says I've seen more than one player progress as fast as a rocket. You don't need to progress as fast as a rocket, you just need to be like a sports car to be able to do well enough not to fall behind when you meet them this year.
Emily says, "I know how the players who are improving like rockets train, and I can help you plan your training accordingly.
Emily says, "But the school pays me to train you for an hour and a half every weekday afternoon and a half day on one of the weekends.
Perhaps it was a habit from years of experience, Emily seldom used a medium voice when she spoke to people. She always used to speak to people in a warm and soft voice. But when she first started leading this varsity team, she was worried that her voice wasn't loud enough for those kids to hear her clearly, and she was also afraid that she would come across as too unassuming and make people belittle her.
Because of this, she always cheered herself up while leading the team and used a lot of power in every word she said.
When she said those words in a serious and sincere manner, she then got knocked back to her usual speaking voice before she felt that it was not right and planned to get her aura back in a hurry before she realized that the three members of the varsity team who had come with her to visit Carolina were already about to beg for her!
It was something Emily had never seen since she came to live in Europe when she was eighteen.
Several seventeen and eighteen year old teenagers, each of them much taller than her, gave her the illusion of looking up when they looked at her. The eyes of these boys had a kind of craving and pleading in them, as if she was the one who could control everything they did.
This new feeling made Emily sit up straight, she straightened her back, wanting to make her behavior more in line with the image of a teacher who was expected to be so much, but she was worried that her too serious appearance would pull away the distance between her and her students, so she said to the three Czech boys with a smile: "If you can pass my test, you can ask me for a favor. can pass my test and prove to me that you want to make it to the Final Four of South Bohemia, I'll help you in any way I can."
When Carolina relayed Emily's words, spoken in German, to Heinz, Luther, and Matz, the three seventeen and eighteen year old Czech boys almost fell to their knees for Emily! They said, "Please tell us what kind of test we are going to have, Miss Emily! We want to be the champions of South Bohemia! No, we just want to be the top four in South Bohemian State, so we can go to the nationals!
Emily's gaze swept towards the three seventeen or eighteen year old Czech boys, and then after some thought, this time he spoke, "Starting tomorrow, you'll all have to do long distance running alternating between sprinting and jogging every day. It can be six thousand meters in the beginning, or even five thousand meters. But it has to be continuously improved until you are training for long-distance running like 10,000 meters every day. Can you guys do that? It's not just the three of you, you've got to make all the members of the varsity team show me this determination."
The three thought about it, and again you looked at me and I looked at you. Obviously, running five thousand meters long every day, and having to alternate sprinting and slow running with each other for long distance training, this was a bit hard for them who played soccer, but it wasn't impossible to do. But the distance of this long-distance running all the way up, even if they could hold on to it by gritting their teeth, but what about the others?
Seeing that the three delayed in giving themselves a positive answer, Emily then pretended to be deep and said, "It seems that your determination is still far from what I want to see."
Heinz: "We can do it!"
Luther: "We can do it!"
Matz: "We can do it!!!"
Seeing the trio answering themselves in such unison, Emily this said in her newly learned Czech, "Very good!"
Turning to Carolina, who had raised her eyebrows and smiled at her, Emily said, "So, starting tomorrow, you'll have to run 5,000 meters for a week, alternating between sprinting and jogging. The time is up to you, and the distance is up to you. When the decision is made, you will let me know. I won't supervise you every day, I'll pick two days out of the week to see if you've done well enough. If you pass, I'll take you like a pro and help you in any way I can so that you can do well enough to qualify for this year's intercollegiate tournament!"
In fact, the three of them, in replying "We can do it!" In fact, when the three of them answered "We can do it!", they were just blurting it out under pressure, but after they heard Emily's words "like a professional player", it gave birth to an indescribable sense of impatience!
Like a pro!
This is simply cool!
They really can't wait to be trained like that!!!!
Seventeen or eighteen was still the years of the boys. At such an age, they still had visions for the future, and still held expectations for the dreams of youth. Just one sentence "they are indeed much stronger than you now, but this distance is not difficult to cross" is enough to let them ignite the fire in their hearts. And then, the sentence "like a professional player to bring you" can make them with a passion to say one by one with the teammates of the school team, and unify a daily long-distance running time of 5,000 meters.
Watching them move around, contacting their buddies on the spot, and carefully handing out training times and running schedules, Emily felt as if she had been infected by them just as easily.
Unbeknownst to Emily, her mysterious identity had been discussed round and round behind her back by the members of the varsity team.
Heinz said that when Emily mentioned Barcelona's current manager to him, it gave him the impression as if Emily actually knew each other and that the two had discussed soccer together, and that they had probably even worked together!
Luther said that the analysis Emily gave him when they brought up Real Madrid's star player, Fontas, simply convinced him! This female teacher of theirs actually knew everything about Fontas' time in South America!
Matz says he has inside information from Ms. Carolina, and Ms. Emily has a lot of information! She has the contact information of the managers of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United in her cell phone!
When Matz said this shocking inside information, not to mention the other partners, even Heinz and Luther were very shocked.
Thinking of the contemptuous attitude they had towards Miss Emily when she first arrived, these cute boys simply even had the heart to cry! If God could give them a chance to do it all over again, they would have said at the very beginning, "Miss Emily! We listen to you! We listen to you in everything!!!"
And so, unbeknownst to Emily, her background had become all sorts of confusing due to vague insider information that Carolina had revealed, the latest being that Emily was a deep-pocketed, super-scout with personal connections to the head coaches of all three of Europe's biggest clubs!
And so, Emily, in complete ignorance of all this is touched by the love of soccer and the desire of these varsity boys to play it!
On another Saturday, the team, revitalized under Emily's leadership, beat their opponents 7-1 in the South Bohemia State Interscholastic Soccer League qualifier.
Although their opponents were not the strongest teams in South Bohemia, the 7:1 score really took them by surprise. So the seventeen and eighteen year old boys really couldn't stand a bit of excitement, and after getting such a match that stunned themselves, they were even more eager to chase after Emily and beg for training!
"Being physically fit is very important in a match. The average professional player can make sure that they are still running as well as they did at the beginning of a 90-minute game when they reach the 70-minute mark. But your running comes down after the second half of the game. In fact, from what I've seen, the average high school soccer team is pretty much in the same boat. In other words, if you guys can get yourselves in shape to start a running attack by the 70th minute of the game, your opponents are going to be very passive.
"In fact, even when teams in the top five leagues play each other, fitness will be a very important part. If there is a team that can ensure that their entire team can stick to an average of 13,000, 14,000 meters of running, then they will be able to play a pressing style of play with sufficient running. This will create the illusion that they have a numerical advantage against the opposing side.
"The snatch circle training is very important, from today onwards, we will have to practice the snatch circle training for half an hour every day. I'll show you how to use the circle grab training in real life, how to use the 1 grab 3, how to use the 2 grab 5, and how to use the 2 grab 5.
"In addition, after all this time together, I think the position you are playing now may not be the most suitable position for you.Matz, I think it would be better for you to move back a bit and play as a trailing midfielder. Starting today, you'll have to start practicing your release, as well as the common passes between the backs and the fullbacks. Luther, it's probably your talent to link up and pass in the middle rather than on the wing. Starting today, you're going to have to practice grabbing the circle twenty minutes more than everyone else every day. As for Heinz, I'd like to take you to focus on corner kicks and free kicks, and hopefully you'll serve as our penalty taker for corners as well as free kicks."
In September, Rutland High School from Krumlov won all four of its matches in the first lap of the qualifying tournament for the South Bohemian State Interscholastic Championship in the Czech Republic.
"Now! Let's add yellow to the training of the color command cards, it stands for steering! There are eighteen of you, so let's split into three groups, with five people standing on the perimeter, forming a pentagon, and one person on the inside changing their movements accordingly to the color of the command cards!
"I've drawn out the points for the three circles of five people standing in white spray for you, what you need to be aware of is that when you give the yellow command card representing steering, you'll have to give a direction of steering, and that direction needs to be one of the other four people standing out of the circle. Then the person in the circle has to start carrying out the instructions given by that person!
"I've tied a ballpoint pen to the handle of each of the instruction cards, and I've got books written out here for each of you. If anyone makes a mistake, the one who was in charge of giving him the instructions at the time will mark a stroke after his name!"
In October, Rutland High School from Krumlov placed second in its group with three wins, one draw, and one loss in five matches in the second round of qualifying for the South Bohemian State Interscholastic Championship in the Czech Republic, advancing to the knockout round of sixteen in the South Bohemian State.
"Run the ball, set piece, corner kick. You take the penalty for this set piece." (Czech)
"Don't break through head-on at times like this, try to find support from your teammates. If you are only 60% sure that you can break through head-on, please choose to pass the ball." (Czech)
"Run more aggressively, you have to be aware of the distance between you and your teammates at all times, and the formation must not break up." (Czech)
As the leaves of the ginkgo trees in Krumlov were yellowing, Emily, who had signed a contract with the school that only allowed her to lead the team's training from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm every day, came back to the school at lunchtime and enjoyed a lunch provided by the school. After lunch, Emily sat down under a ginkgo tree and opened her books and notebook to study her Czech.
A member of the school team saw her and happily greeted her, giving her a thumbs up to show that the Czech phrases she had just practiced were great! So Emily this immediately gave her a Czech phrase back, "Did you bring your shin guards today?"
When the other person replied with a big smile and a nod, Emily used a second Czech phrase that she had already mastered, "4:30 p.m. Don't be late!"
