I needed to get to the safety of my car. As stupid as it sounded, I felt exposed standing out there in the middle of the car park. Goosebumps prickled my arms and I wished I'd put my coat on before I left to shield myself from the chill of the evening air and allow myself one more layer of protection.
Protection? Against what? I shook my head, feeling more stupid by the second to have let my head fill with all sorts of imaginary nightmarish scenarios but I couldn't help but glance around again, letting my eyes sweep around the field of my vision.
