I bit my lip and tried to banish those awful images from my head but I saw them everywhere I looked as if this place was full of terrifying memories that haunted your every step as you walked its grim corridors. As we walked deeper into the belly of the vampire hospital, I noticed that the rooms seemed more lived in, some stacked full of boxes containing what I had no idea, some with furniture or at least signs that they had been occupied recently. Finally, at the end of a long corridor that echoed with the sound of our footsteps, Garrick led us into a room lined with tall bookcases and a large intricately carved fireplace centre stage on the opposite side of the room.
