“Oh, yeah. Thank you so much Sun.” I said, calming myself down.
“That’s good, but are you sure? Is there any part of your body that hurts?” He asked.
“Y-yes.” I answered.
“The rain won’t stop soon. It will be bad if you continue getting soaked in the rainwater. I think I know a place where we can stay.” Sun said.
Sun began to walk and I just followed him silently. His aura was different this time. It felt brave, confident and was really strong. He led the way as we continued weaving through the woods descending the mountain side. We were silent as we continued walking, and the sound of the surroundings was the only thing that we could hear.
“Can you still walk?” Sun asked.
“Y-yes, I can.” I answered, shivering from the cold.
Without any word, Sun suddenly grabbed my hand, making my heart jump a beat. I flinched when his cold hands touched mine, but he held it tightly. The cold feeling coming forming his skin slowly calmed my senses, as we continued walking through the trees.
After half an hour of twists and turns, we reached a small hut near the mountainside. It means that we successfully descended because there were fewer trees around. Sun did not let go of my hand, as he opened the door made from coconut leaves which were woven like a mat. The warmth coming from inside covered my body as soon as we entered. Sun walked towards the small table and picked up a gas lamp. Luckily, there was a matchstick on the wooden box near the door. That was the only time he let go of my hand and started lighting up the lamp. I was still shivering because of my soaked clothes, watching his every action.
A faint light engulfed the whole hut, making everything visible. Sun looked at me, slowly walking towards me and smiled. I just stood there, looking at him in awe. His features were highlighted by the faint light, making him look ethereal and more attractive. His wet hair, the dripping water, and his warm smile made my heart pound like crazy. I can feel my blood rush throughout my whole body, adding up to the emotions I am feeling now.
He was getting closer and closer, and all I could do was close my eyes. I can feel that he was a few inches closer to me, and I don’t know how I reacted like that. I heard .a faint laugh coming from him, and when I opened my eyes, he reached out for my hair. He began to brush the leaves and dirt stuck on head.
“There, no more leaves.” Sun said, and walked away from me. I was left there, standing, just looking at him without anything to say. I was wrapped with a lot of emotions, and it overwhelmed me, making me speechless.
Sun headed to the wooden box and took out it’s other contents. There were clean pieces of fabric, and a few pieces of cloth. How come this place had this sort of stuff, and how did he know that such place existed here?
Did Sun get his memories back?
I continued watching him in silence as he prepared the things that he got from the old wooden box.
“Are you okay? Why are you just standing there?” Sun asked, smiling.
“Eh, yes. I’m fine.”
“Then what are you waiting for, come here.” He said, and picked up the cloth that looked like a towel. He began rubbing the water from my soaked body, and I was just standing there like a kid.
“I think you should change your clothes.” He said.
“Change my clothes? Here?” I said,
“Yes, and where do you want to change? Outside? There is no way I would allow you to do that. Also, the rain is getting worse and it might not stop soon.” Sun said, handing me a piece of cloth that looked like the once that were being worn by the farmers.
“Eh…
Sun laughed at my response. “Here take this, I won’t look okay. You go ahead and change first. I’ll go out first, okay?”
He gave me all the things that I needed and went out of the hut. Sun is really different now unlike the first time that we met. Did he really get his memories back. After changing into dry clothes, I called Sun. He entered the hut, and this time, I was the one who went outside so that he could change. What was bothering me right now, how did he get a physical body? Am I just dreaming now.I pinched myself and look at the surroundings. The weather is really not good. I can hear the whistling of the wind, and the rain is not planning to stop. I hope everyone is okay at the farm. After a few minutes of waiting, Sun called me.
“I’m sorry if it took a bit long.” Sun said.
“That’s fine.” I said. Everything about Sun looked normal now. Who would have thought that he is a ghost that was freeloading in my room.
“I know you have a lot of questions, but come here first.” He said, extending his hands towards me. Hesitant for a few seconds, I reached out for his hand and he pulled me towards the mat that he placed earlier.
“Now, sit down, Ray. I know you have been through a lot today, so sit down and take some rest.”
I did what he told me to, and sat down on the mat. There were a few seconds of silence, and all I could hear was the whistling winds and rain.
“I think I know what you want to ask, Ray. I am also confused now, and how I manifest having a physical body. But, I was thankful for this and I was able to save you from falling earlier.” He said, looking at the gas lamp at the table.
“Honestly, yes. That’s one of the questions that is running through my mind now. But, did you get your memories back? How did you know that there is a place like this here. Are you also a resident here on the farm?” I said.
“Yes and no.” Sun answered.
