Chapter 66

“Sun looked really pale, so I think he needed more vitamins.” Lena said.

“I see. Sure, give it when he comes out later. Let’s eat now.”

“Okay, Sir.” Lena answered happily.

We still cannot hide the truth about Sun. Of course, his features will be really different from us. His very low temperature, his very pale complexion. Also, he appears at night only which is the mystery that we need to solve. I looked around the room and everyone was busy eating, but something caught my eye. It was Cynthia and she kept on glancing at my direction. It felt like she wanted to talk about something but doesn’t have the courage to do so. I was about to stand up when Austin appeared and placed a glass of fresh mango juice in front of me.

“Oh, Thank you.” I said, startled. He just smiled in response and did the same to Miko.

Lunchtime passed, Miko and I went back to work. We were so engrossed with work that we did not notice that it was already evening. Usually, this is just an inch in what we usually do. Back in the city, we usually pull an all nighter, with a lot of things that we need to do. We make sure that we can finish everything, so that we won’t have a hard time the next day.

My body was aching already, and I stretched out. I dropped my pen when I saw Sun was sitting at my bed, and smiling at us. He waved his hands towards us.

“Hi Sun.” I smiled and waved back at him. Miko did the same thing.

“When did you arrive?” Miko said.

“When I came about, you were both busy doing work so I did not bother you two. It was already an hour after you finished.”

“Why did you not tell us?” I asked.

“It’s okay, I know that you were both busy so I did not bother waiting on you. By the way, one of the helpers called for dinner already. You should eat already.”

“What about you?” Miko asked.

“I’m fine. You can go without me.” Sun answered.

“Silly, people will look for you since they are thinking that you are only awake at night because of the job that we told them. So you need to go with us.” I said.

“Ray is right. Let’s go now.” Miko said.

I stood up from the chair and headed to my closet. “Wait a second.”

Slowly rummaging, I pulled out clothes from the hanger and gave it to Sun. Miko and Sun were surprised.

“Wear this.” I said, handing the clothes to Sun. He just nodded in response and headed to the bathroom. After a few minutes, he went out of the bathroom. I smiled after seeing him wearing the clothes that I gave him. On the other hand, Miko’s jaw dropped because of what he saw.

“It looks good on you.” I said.

“Thank you.” Sun said. He was wearing a light blue shirt, and because of his pale skin, it was emphasized even more. The color of his hair and eyes stood well. Matched with black shorts, it felt like he was glowing. His eyes were twinkling with happiness.

“Wow, Sun. You really look good with these simple clothes. I wish I could pull it off.” Miko said. Sun smiled shyly because of the compliments that he was hearing.

“Let’s go.” I said, and the three of us headed outside.
