Chapter 9

“Sun?” Ray asked.

Sun sighed. “Sorry, that's all I can remember.” 

“How did you get in here?” 

“Honestly, I don’t know either. When the night fell, I just realized that I am in your room already. I didn’t want to bother you or anything, but you are the only person that can see me.” 

Ray scratched his head. Is this even for real? Of all the people that were staying on the farm, he is the only person that can see Sun. 

Ray scratched his head since he has no choice. Also, since he already talked with Sun, he might keep on bothering him about asking for help. 

“Tell me, what do you want?”

Sun stood up all of a sudden, and went closer to Ray. 

“About that, I just want someone to talk with. I have been here in the farm for as long as I can remember, but it’s the first time that someone saw me. I tried to talk with the other people, but they couldn't see me clearly. When I was around, they were always afraid.” 

Ray sighed. “Well, that is understandable. And are you even for real? Are you really a ghost?”

“Well, you can always check.” Sun said, smiling and moving closer to him. 

Ray was surprised when Sun moved a bit closer to him. There is still the weird feeling that he is having. The cool sensation surrounding Sun was the opposite of his name. He suddenly felt his heart racing. Maybe, because Sun is not really part of this world. 

“Go ahead.” Sun said and held out his hand. 

He was hesitant at first, but his curiosity was telling him to check too. Ray slowly reached out for his hands and to his surprise it went through. He almost cursed loudly because of what he saw. His eyes went bigger than usual. 

What was that? Cold sweat ran down on his face. Ray hurriedly moved backwards next to the couch. 

“Okay, I believe you now.” Ray said, wiping the cold sweat from his face. He still couldn’t believe what he saw. 

“So are you willing to be my friend?” Sun asked, smiling widely. 

Ray was still doubtful about everything that he was seeing tonight. It might be a devil that is playing pranks on him. He still needs to think of what he needs to agree with him. 

“I need to think about it. I also need to set up rules, okay. I know that you can see what I am doing, and I am busy. I don’t want distractions, and I’ll give you an answer next time.” Ray said. 

Sun smiled. “That’s okay with me, I’ll wait for your answer.”

“You can go now, I’ll give you an answer tomorrow. I am going to rest now.” 

Sun sighed. “ About that, we have a problem. Ever since the day I bumped into you at the orchard, it seems that my body is tied to you. I mean my soul.”

Ray’s eyes widened. “What do you mean?”

“I was surprised that I woke up in your room. I tried to go back to the orchard but I couldn't do that. I’m being pulled back to where you are. It’s like I need to be near you or something within a certain radius.”

“What?...
