The Awakening

"Your will is my command"He immediately bowed his head and went on to carry outthe order,he signaled to two men in similar cloaks to lift jian ling up and they hurriedly carried him to a carriage the Lin family compound why heading to the forest.They took along with them a tamed beast as they didn't have the guts to enter the forest,They simply tied him loosely to the beast and then commanded the beast to run into the forest.They tied him loosely so that he will fall from the back of the beast while it ran in the forest,This was Lin gu's,The head guard way of showing sympathy towards him even though it wasn't really helpful as there were no wild beast in the forest and only magical beast and the weekest level of magical beast was the qi sensing stage just like humans,but in this forest the weekest beast would probably be in the late stage of the Condensation stage.

Jian ling knew it was probably over for him but at this point he had already lost a huge portion of his humanity and he could hardly feel any emotion.He just watched as everything played out with an expressionless face.

The beast soon ran quite deep into the forest before the rope finally loosed and he fell off

He crawled to a tree and laid his back there in other to rest and recover why leaving his safety to luck's hands as he knew with or without his strength, he was in a land of sure death and would probably be found by a magical beast sooner or later and probably be eaten alive

As a smart young man,he knew that at this point his strength wasn't of much use and only luck could play a crucial factor on how long he could survive for so he simply didn't struggle and just let nature take it cause.

Soon he was fast at sleep as that will be the best way to heal since he no longer had his magical energy,He slept for three days why waking of from time to time.

If it were to be any normal human being, he or she would probably have died of thirst and hunger but as a formal cultivator,his body was quite strong and he could go quite a few days without food.

But as he was injured the number of days he could live without food or water reduce d drastically.At this point he had already regained his movement so he decided to go and find a river to drink from as his heart was throbbing seriously for water.

He was quite surprised that no spiritual beast had found him yet and he kept murmuring on how gold his luck was,it was quite shocking,as when he was cultivating,his luck wasn't all that good but now that he became a cripple,it suddenly became so good.

He kept walking foward for quite a while but found no river.He cursed under his breath about where all his luck went to.

Why murmuring, His eyes caught sight of a tree,and on this tree,there was only one fruit,this fruit was whitish in colour and hard powdered substance all over it.

When he saw it,his first reaction was to rush over and devour the fruit but soon his brain got the better of him and he finally started thinking straight,he knew that there was something strange about this tree as there was no other species of it in the surrounding.

And the weirdest of it all was that it had only one fruit on it.This made jian ling think twice about eating this fruit as it might be harmful or even kill him.

But soon he threw all caution to the wind as he knew that if he didn't eat this fruit he will probably die of hunger sooner or later.

He immediately stretched out his hands towards the tree and pluck the fruit,The tree wasn't all that high and was about his height so it was quite easy for him to pluck the fruit.

As he plucked the fruit,He first studied it round for a short amount of time before taking a little bite out of it.

The fruit was tasteless and had no water in it,it wasn't something he will be willing to eat if he had an option two,but at this point,he had no other option so he had to settle for the fruit.

He closed his eyes and slowly started devouring the fruit bit by bit fill not even the branch attached to the fruit remained.

The moment he finished eating the food,He started feeling dizzy,He started staggering as he couldn't stand or walk well any more,soon he fell flat on the ground.

At this point many things started flashing through his mind,from the moment he was born to the moment of his awakening which was when his problem started,The awakening was what human beings did to enable them to be able to cultivate magical energy and begin thier cultivation,it was a memorable day for every family as that was the day they get to identify the talent of their family and give them extra attention and nurturing so as to turn them into expert of the clan in the future.

Jian ling was the best on that day and was suppose to receive utmost care,concern,attention and nuturing, but that wasn't the case for him,instead it was the day all his previous troubles were amplified.

He had always looked forward to that day as he though if he could perform well on that day,it will change his parent opinion about him.

But alas,Things didn't go as planned.He proceeded to think about his sister who was taking a year after his awakening year which was when he was six years old.it had become a tradition for humans to undergo thiier awakening during six years old.

His sister was taken,when he was 7 years old,at that time,she was five and had yet to awaken,she was always sickly and tend to usually faint so she was treated like a gel in the family as no one wanted anything to happen to her.

She was the only one who still truly cared about him in the family and didn't humiliate or discriminate him.

She will always run out and stand in front of him anytime thier mother wanted to flog him for little things,she did threaten to jump down a cliff and other stuffs like that if they didn't stop hitting me.

At some point they didn't believe and decided to ignore her,she gritted her teeth for a moment and immediately ran away,no one knew where she was running to and they thought she was just running to one corner to cry but one clan expert followed her just for safety reasons

Who would have thought that she really ran directly to one of the mountains in the Lin family compound and jumped off it without hesitation. If not for the expert that followed her and immediately saved her,she would have probably turned into lumps of meat and blood paste.

At that point the Lin family head and his wife finally understood how stubborn and crazy thier daughter could be,it was that incident that reduced jian ling level suffering in the Lin family house as no one wanted to dare the little she-devil in the house anymore.

He had passed out while they were hitting him and once he woke up and heard what happened, he was furious and immediately matched down to Lin ling's room,He got there and immediately banged the door open and got without asking for invitation, when Lin ling saw him,she was rushing to come and hug him but he pushed her away. at this moment he was really furious and his entire body was shaking at the thought that he almost lost his siter.He immediately started scolding her as tears rolled down from his eyes,she immediately teared up as he scolded her.As he talked,he noticed her tears but tried to harden his heart and talk as he didn't want such a thing to repeat itself again.But soon he couldn't hold himself again and he lifted her up and hugged her while tears slid down his face.

He immediately started pampering her and told her that he was sorry and that he was only scared of losing her.He took her to her bed and laid her down and he sang for her when they played and gisted.After a while,he put on a serious face and immediately asked her not to repeat such thing again and that if she tried it again,he did slit his own throat.

She immediately got scared when she heard and made a very solemn promise to never do it again.
