She rested against the hood of the car, eyes shut, trying to shut out the pain from where her hair was pulled, and where she had dragged herself free. Her nose hurt the most, and she feared looking in a mirror to assess the damage he had done. Worse than falling while jogging, being man handled had left her feeling fragile and fearful. What had happened? Why was he so set against Thomas? And when did he become so violently possessive?
