Surprisingly, her mother didn’t question her when she told her that she'd be staying with her grandparents until Monday morning. It turned out that the man she had recently sold a house for, had been quite keen on her, and they were casually seeing one another. Barker was in good hands, and instead of waking up with a head full of questions and dreading the day ahead, she remembered where she was.
