24 Drew We drove around a bit, checking to see if either girl went to class like we’d done before, but they hadn’t. They weren’t at the apartment which Stone and I let ourselves into once more. My phone buzzed with an incoming call, and I put down the picture from Shaun’s bed stand to glance at the screen. “Krystal?” I barked the second I swiped to answer. “D-Drew?” She sounded broken—same f*****g s**t all over again—but music shrieked behind her. “Yeah, it’s me.” “Thank f**k—I need you to come over here.” Every word slurred, and a hiccup or partial sob cut her off. “Shaun.” “What about her?” I asked, hurrying out of the bedroom and into the hall, my stomach a f*****g rock. Stone stood in kitchen and I caught his gaze, tipping my head toward the sliding glass door we’d jimmied open
