FELICITY
I wake up before my alarms goes off.
I had weird dream last night about dark gray eyes and being lost in them. I don't need to rack my know who that person might be.
Thanks to him, I had restless night with very little sleep. It jada been three days but our encounter that night played in my head over and over like a broken record.
The look in his eyes, as he raked them over me are permanently branded and I still cant explain this strong connection that I have with him. It's overwhelming and clearly out of my comfort zone.
It took a lot of my control not to go to my father and ask him if he know that man, which was really foolish. My father has been mad as hell before we took off last night , the Purple marks that still's on my wrist was enough warning for me. It darkened overnight and still tender even though I patch it up.
Glancing over my bedside table, look at the clock and see that it's quarter to eight. Sighing, I get out of the bed and begin getting ready in the bathroom. A few minutes later, I sat on my dresser trying to tame my hair, clad in a long sleeve shirt and fitting jeans.
Padding down stairs, I slip outside and was greeted by Stefano, one of the guards my father had assigned to me. He was was was to me. He was was was huge with unusual mean eyes.
"Ms.Felicity." he greeted and walks back to open the passenger door for me.
I look behind and see two cars filled with men cars two cars filled with men in the same uniform as ham.
"How many of you are going to follow me today? today? today?"
"There will be ten of us Ma'am." He says without missing a beat.
I scoffed. " This is absurd! What could possibly happen to me that would need ten of you? "
"Your Father's requests, Ma'am. "
I gritted my teeth and feel my face flush. This is getting out of hand. I don't understand any of this! Groaning furiously, I stomp over the car and slid inside.
Stefano sat himself next to the driver and I watch him mutter quietly on a small device attached to his shirt collar, before our car move away.
The school is relatively quiet when we arrive. I think everyone is probably preparing for the finals. Aside from my upcoming 18th birthday, we were on our last three weeks and I was really looking forward to it. I'll be moving out to New York right after graduation, I plan to pursue my love for theatre acting, something that I still haven't tell my father yet.
I spend a good part of of a good part of the day going through classes and each period is a struggle to keep my focus. My mind keep coming back on the mystery gorgeous guy at the party last night and it making me restless.
I let out a sigh of relief when my last class finally ended and I immediately began gathering my stuffs. The drive home was a blur and before I know it, we're home.
My step out and immediately notice that there were too many cars line up in the driveway.Men in dark suit and Shades littered outside and everywhere I could layed my eyes on.
"What's going on? "
"We should go inside, Ms. Felicity. " Stefano answered for me and usher me towards the door.
The moment we step inside, my eyes landed on the two men standing outside my fathers office . They're huge and look very frightening.
I turned to Stefano. "Who's my father talking to? "
"I'm not allowed to disclose Ma'am, but he instructed that you head straight in your room when you arrive."
I scoffed at his words and glared at him. "You've got to be kidding me."
When his face stays impassive, I turn around and trudge towards the stairs. Just as I have my feet on the first step, the door to my father's office opened and I froze. I watch my father exits first, his frown deep and his lips pulled into a tight line. A man follows closely behind him and when I finally got a look of his face, I let out a loud gasp.
He lifts his head and I feel like the air have been sick out of me.
It's him.
The mysterious man at the party! The one who has been starring in my dreams in the past few nights.
"Felicity, it's good to see you again, " He smiles, his dark grey eyes crinkling at the corners.
My heartbeat quickens, and my face flushes. How did he know my name? I don't know what's happening to me but the way he says my name sent waves of shivers in my body. It's just my name. Why does it seem so intimate? Damn it.
I open my mouth to answer but my father speak suddenly.
"You've met my daughter before? " The alarm in his voice made me look at him. He's glaring accusingly at the man, his hand fisted in his side.
The Mysterious man c***s his head to one side, still staring at me, a hint of smile playing on his lips. If I taught he was gorgeous before, that have smile made him look absolutely breathtaking.
"Just a quick occurrence, nothing intentional Dimitri."
My father let put a growl and hear him say, "Go to your room, Felicity. "
My immediate instinct is to follow his order but I couldn't seem to move my feet as I continue to stare at man beside him.
Why does he have such an unnerving effect on me?
"Felicity!" The venom in my father's voice made me jump.
"I'm sorry, ' I mutter under my breath and rush up the stairs. I had to stop myself hard not to look back at the man, I could feel his burning gaze at the back of my head.
I close the door quietly behind me and lean back against it, my breathing heavy and my heart threatening to explode in my chest.
What is he doing in our house? I can't remember my father bring any of his colleagues in our house before even for business meetings.
The sound of muffled voices and soft rumbling of engine out side pulled me out of my reverie.
I hurried towards the window and peek outside.
From up here, I have a clear view of our driveway. I saw my father and the man exchange a few words for a moment and I catch my fathers frowning face directed to the man who have his back on me. He nodded then the man walks over to the waiting car. As if sensing my gaze, he stop at the door, glance up and our gaze locked.
His burning gray eyes gazing at me. I have stopped breathing breathing stopped breathing breathing all together. God, he really is beautiful. No one should be this good-looking.
We stared at each other for what seem like forever, his gray eyes intense and unwavering. Then a ghost of smile pulls on his lips before he slid inside the car.
As soon as he disappear from my sight, I feel like there's a dark cloud hovering around me once again. I didn't move even when I heard the familiar sound of my father's footsteps in the hallway or when I heard my door Bang against wall, I stay rooted in my place.
Ten minutes later I have a busted lips and bruised ribs. I was so numb when he yelled Profanities at me the whole time. He made me explain detail by detail what exactly happened at the party when I first met that man. When, he was done, I limp back towards the window praying and wishing the man would come back and take me away.
