Chapter 3&4
🩸🩸📍📍
"Could it be another agent like me" she thought and shrugged it off. Focusing on finding her room which was getting hard to find.
She navigated the crowded hallway, her eyes scanning the rows of doors for her assigned room. The mobsters room was a labyrinth, with rooms paired up in groups of two, each pair designated for specific tasks or operations. She had been told to find her partner and report to their shared room.
As she walked, she took in the surroundings. The hallway was lined with doors, each one adorned with a number or a nameplate. Some doors were slightly ajar, allowing snippets of conversation or music to drift out into the hallway.
Others were closed, with muffled sounds coming from within. Diana saw men in suits and ties, armed guards standing at attention, and others in more casual attire, all moving with a sense of purpose.
She turned a corner, and the sound of laughter and music grew louder. A group of rough-looking men clustered near a door, chatting and laughing. One of them caught her eye and nodded in her direction. "Lost, dude?" he asked, his tone neutral.
Diana nodded, trying to blend in. "Yeah, I'm looking for my room. I'm supposed to be paired with... um, Vinnie."
The man nodded thoughtfully, taking a drag on his cigar. "You're probably looking for Room 3B. It's down the hall, second door on your left. You and your partner should be set up there." He eyed her up and down, his gaze lingering on her clothes and hair. "You new around here?"
Diana nodded, trying to maintain her cover. "Yeah, just got in. I'm supposed to meet Vinnie and get started on some work."
The man nodded, seeming to accept her story. "Well, good luck to you, man. You'll need it around here." He turned back to his conversation, dismissing her.
Diana thanked him and followed his directions, feeling a sense of relief wash over her as she spotted the door with the "3B" label. She took a deep breath, preparing herself for whatever lay ahead
Diana twisted the door knob and pushed the door open, stepping into the room marked "3B". The room was small, with two beds pushed against opposite walls, and a few pieces of furniture scattered around the space.
Vinnie was already sitting on one of the beds, his eyes fixed on a small notebook in his lap. He looked up as Diana entered, his expression neutral.
"Hey," he said, his voice low and even.
Diana nodded, trying to gauge Vinnie's mood. "Hey, Vinnie. I'm... uh, ...."
"Dilan, who doesn't know Dilan who just fought with Jonah, you're quite popular among the newbies, you know" Vinnie interrupted, his eyes flicking over her face before returning to the notebook.
"Oh that, i was just... you know, defending myself" she replied.
"Yeah, that was cool" he said. And there was silence for a while.
Diana sat down on the other bed, trying to break the ice. "So, what's the plan for today? What are we working on?"
Vinnie shrugged, his shoulders barely moving. "Just some paperwork, mostly. We've got a meeting with the boss later, but other than that, it's just routine stuff."
I hear training sessions here are really though" Diana muttered.
"Yeah, you have to catch on quick to avoid punishment. Here, punishment and torture is like their signature name." he replied
"That's kinda creepy" she said.
"You'll get used to it" he replied
Diana nodded, trying to keep the conversation going. "Okay, cool. What's the boss like?"
Vinnie's expression didn't change, but his voice took on a slightly more serious tone. "The boss is... the boss. You do what he says, when he says it. That's how it works around here but just make sure you don't always cross paths with him."
Diana nodded, sensing that Vinnie wasn't much of a talker. She decided to try a different approach, leaning back against the wall and adopting a more relaxed tone. "So, Vinnie, how long have you been working here?"
Vinnie's eyes flicked up to hers, and for a moment, Diana thought she saw a glimmer of friendliness. "Long enough," he said, his voice a little softer. "You new around here, Dilan?"
Diana nodded, trying to keep her cover. "Yeah, just got in. I'm still getting used to things."
Vinnie nodded, his expression neutral once more. "You'll get the hang of it. Just remember, loyalty is key around here."
Diana nodded, trying to play along. "Got it. Loyalty."
The conversation trailed off, and Vinnie returned to his notebook, leaving Diana to wonder what lay ahead. Despite Vinnie's reserved nature, Diana sensed that he wasn't unfriendly , just...cautious.
As they sat in silence, Diana found herself glancing over at Vinnie trying to get a better read on him. He was a bit of a mystery trying, but she was determined to c***k him, if only to further her mission.
She has to at least get closer to people here and find out more about her target.
NORTH WING
AXEL'S DEN ☠️
"In the depths of Axel Villa, a room existed, shrouded in darkness, where shadows danced upon the walls like specters of despair.
The air was heavy with an aura of malevolence, as if the very space itself was alive, and it pulsed with an evil intent.
The black walls seemed to absorb the faint light that struggled to penetrate the gloom, rendering the atmosphere oppressive and suffocating.
The room was a reflection of its master's soul – cold, calculating, and devoid of mercy. Every surface seemed to whisper tales of ruthless ambition, of hearts crushed beneath the weight of Axel's coldness.
The silence was palpable, a heavy blanket that smothered all sound, leaving only the echoes of darkness.
In this foreboding sanctum, Axel sat, his presence a palpable force that commanded attention. His eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity, piercing the darkness like lanterns in the night.
He reminisced about to a particular person he saw earlier and he smirked, "that's interesting" he muttered.
Isabella walked into the room, her eyes fixed on Axel. She plopped down in the chair across from him, her movements relaxed.
"Hey, boss," she said, her tone casual. "What's new?"
Axel's gaze flicked up, his expression cold and unreadable. "Just reviewing some reports," he said, his voice neutral.
Isabella leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Find anything interesting?"
Axel's gaze lingered on her for a moment before he looked back down at the document. "Limits, Isabella," he said, his tone dismissive.
Isabella didn't seem deterred, her expression never wavering. "Oh, come on, Axel. I'm your right-hand woman. I'm entitled to know what's going on."
Axel's expression remained cold, his eyes never leaving the document. "You're entitled to know what I deem necessary for you to know," he said, his voice firm.
After a moment of silence, Axel's gaze flicked up, his eyes narrowing slightly as he studied Isabella's expression. "Did you talk to my father about anything?" he asked, his voice low and even.
Isabella's expression remained neutral, her voice calm. "No," she said. "I didn't talk to your father about anything".
A normal person would believe that but who's she kidding. He could tell from her posture, she was lying and it better not be what he's thinking.
"You're dismissed" he said.
"C'mon Axel , you know what i need" she said licking her lips like a starved b***h that she is wanting to rub her manicured nails on his chest.
"You know better not to do that, know your place Isabella Rodrigo and the next time you try that s**t you did at the drop point, i'll make sure you stop breathing.". he warned
"Leave" he added
Well, she new better than staying, he might even kill her right there.
