Chapter 3

I retired to our room with my men, including Jonah. The party was still going on but we had a lot to discuss. I watched my three mates sit on the bed watching me. Jonah was standing behind me by the couches. I sighed and turn to face him. I knew he had questions for me just like I had for him. Where to start though? “Vi, where have you been?” I heard the hurt in his voice. “Well, I guess I should start at the beginning. I woke up in a hospital in Aruba. I had no memory and no where to go. The man who found me washed up on the shore half dead, took me in. John not only took me in but I became a part of his organization. They trained me to fight and kill. John introduced me to things in the human world, hoping to jog my memory. I didn’t know about our community until I had a mission in Germany. I found Jeremy and things began to change for me.” I watched Jonah closely. His face was blank but I knew he was listening. “Chere found me in a silver cage trying to get out. She risked her life to save me. Turns out she was the mate I had been waiting on. I honestly thought she was messing with me when she acted like she didn’t know what I was. That’s when I found out about her lost memory and promised to help her.” I remained quiet while Jeremy took up the story. “I met our little one next. They were searching for clues to her past. I was drawn to her and couldn’t understand why. It was like a burning desire to be near her. When she took off to London for work, we followed. We didn’t know about the spell on her until we came back. Daisy was waiting on us and helped us break a sleeping spell. She also told us about the prophecy and how our little one was the one. We found out that night that I was her second mate.” Jackson stood while he picked up the story. He came to me and hugged me from behind. “I met her next. Mo chroí kicked my ass. When we had the vision together, I knew she was mine. That’s when I learned about her being the girl in the prophecy. That night Isabelle and Daisy helped her remove the traps in the spell on her. We couldn’t remove it completely but it was a start. When she learned that her human family was coming to stay with us, we moved here.” Jasper left some things out. Like me killing Jackson. “I had no control of my magic. It started to surface in London. Although I suspect that some of it was always with me. I kind of lost control and killed Jackson. Then without knowing what I was doing, I tied our souls together. Once we decided to work on the spell, Isabelle called in her parents. Jasper, Isabelle, Eren, Azalea, and Daisy were attempting to undue the layers of the spell. I knew that one of my human family was good at puzzles so I brought her in too. They worked very well together. Olesia would find a section and the others would remove it. Then Mordred slipped in to stop us.” I stopped there because Jonah’s expression change. I could feel the anger coming off him in waves. “Mordred? What did he do?” His voice was low and dangerous. “Well he wanted to cause all of us pain through mo chroí. She kicked us all out before he could though. She took the brunt of the pain. Jack actually felt an echo of it even though she was doing a good job of blocking us. She was somehow able to trace his magic back to him and stop him. She ended up letting him go with a warning. I still think we should have killed him though.” Jasper answered for me. That day was still vivid in my mind. The pain was so intense that it was burn into my brain. I shivered and Jackson tightened his grip on me. I didn’t know Jackson had felt the echoes of my pain until later. I took a deep breath and looked at Jonah. His hands were trembling in anger. It looked like he was trying to calm down. I wiggled out of Jackson’s grip when I realized he was losing. I didn’t know what his powers could do but I knew his magic would cause major damage. I closed the distance between us and placed my hand on his chest. His eyes weren’t focused and he was vibrating with magic. “Jonah?” I made my voice soft and full of concern. It wasn’t hard to do. He looked at me then. His eyes focused on me and he sighed. “I’ll kill him myself.” “You don’t need to. I can kill him if I want. I just figured a better punishment would be for him to watch me unite our world and live happily ever after with my mates.” I shrugged “You are truly too good for any world my love.” I heard the laughter in Jackson’s voice. Jonah pulled me into his arms and buried his head into my neck. I didn’t feel a shock like I normally did. Our magic knew each other. I slid my arms around his neck and allowed him to calm himself. There was a knock on the door. Jasper went to get the door while Jonah calmed himself. Daisy came in the room without looking at anyone but me. She saw me in Jonah’s arms and smiled. “So it’s true. You are our lady’s mate. She has found all but one. I’m so happy!” “Daisy. Please call me Angel.” She waved me off as Jonah put me at arms length. “Angel?” “I didn’t know my name when I was found so they labeled me a Jane Doe. After a year of training a friend called me the Angel of Death and it stuck. Now everyone calls me Angel.” “Well it’s fitting but I don’t know if I’ll be able to call you that.” Jonah smirked as he thought it over. “We must contact her family immediately. They must know that we found our lady and are helping her. Isabelle will want to know they are coming as well. Gretchen will be so happy.” Daisy’s cheerful voice rang out as she rushed out of the room with Sam on her heels. “I guess that’s settle then.” I couldn’t help the laugh that escaped. “Jonah, I’m sure you would like to move in here with us to be close to chere. There’s already space for you thanks to Jasper’s mom. We can show you where our closet is and get you settled in.” Jeremy walked toward us. “I’ll get my stuff. Give me a minute.” Jonah released me and disappeared. I stared in shock at where he had been. What the hell? Before any of us could say anything, he reappeared with two bags. He laughed at our shocked expressions. “I’m a cosmic wiccan. I can manipulate time and space. I’m one of the only ones that can move through it though. My grandmother passed it on to me.” “Nice trick.” Jasper sounded thoughtful. Jonah looked at Jeremy expectingly. Jeremy led the way shaking his head. I watched them disappear into the guys’ closet. I was done with today. Let the others party and have fun. I was getting out of this skimpy dress and washing all this stuff out of my hair. I made my way to the bathroom with Jasper and Jackson. I glanced into my vanity mirror and froze. I never did look at myself after all the so called pampering. I looked nothing like myself. I was staring at the woman in the mirror wondering if it was really me. I looked sexy and beautiful. The red dress was bright against my pale skin. With the way the dress was cut, it exposed enough skin to be sexy but not slutty. My raven hair was even darker with the red. My eyes were bright, the light makeup accented my blue eyes perfectly. I was stunned. “Now you know why we were having trouble keeping our hands off you, my love.” I turned to Jackson and shook my head. “I never looked at myself after getting ready. I had no idea I looked like this. I’m surprised you guys let me go to the party at all.” Jasper and Jackson laughed as they began to loosen their ties. I sat at my vanity and removed my heels. I was worried about the dress. I wasn’t sure how to take it off or the tape for that matter. Isabelle knocked on our bathroom door. I could hear her giggling on the other side. “Thought you might need some help.” Her violet eyes held so much laughter. “It’s the least you can do after putting me in this thing. You and Sara have something coming for this by the way.” I shook my head and stood up. Isabelle laughed and waved my comment off. She came toward me as Jeremy entered the room with Jonah. Isabelle started on the tape first. She showed Jasper how to remove it from my skin. It honestly didn’t hurt to remove it. Kind of like removing a bandage. Isabelle left after that, still laughing. Jackson and Jasper helped remove all the tape on my breasts. It felt so good to get out of it. Jasper pulled the dress over my head, leaving me bare. I sighed happily. The men chuckled when I rolled my shoulders. They had all removed their jackets and ties. I sat at my vanity and tried to find all the bobby pins they used to pin my hair up. I was getting frustrated with finding them. There were so many. I heard the shower turn on, I groaned. “I can’t find them all. Why do women do this stuff?” I was whining. The men laughed out right at that. I was pouting as Jackson came over to help me. He removed the bobby pins with ease. Why was I having so much trouble? He pulled the last one out causing my hair to come tumbling down. Before I could move, Jasper scooped me up. I giggled as he walked to our shower. They had all the streams going at the perfect temperature. I closed my eyes enjoying the water hitting my skin. Jasper placed me on my feet and allowed Jeremy to lather soap on my body. I tilted my head back to get my hair wet. Finally! I heard Jonah curse under his breath. I didn’t get to find out why though. Jasper was helping Jeremy wash my skin while Jackson washed my hair. I moaned as they washed all the products away. I felt a wash cloth on my face. Whoever was doing that was being so gentle that I was sure the make up would never come off. I snatched the cloth from whoever had it laughing. Without opening my eyes, I scrubbed my eyes and face. Jeremy was laughing so I flipped him off before I finished scrubbing. They all laughed then. The water rinsed the soap from my face while I felt Jackson putting conditioner in my hair. I wiped my face off with my hand and opened my eyes. Jasper and Jeremy were washing up while Jackson massaged my scalp. I was surprised he was able to get all the product out of my hair in one wash. I couldn’t see Jonah though. Jackson finished my massage and began to wash himself. I looked around the shower but didn’t see Jonah anywhere. Where did he go? Jonah? Where are you? I reached out to him in my mind. I missed hearing your voice in my head Vi. I’m just sending a message out to your family. They need to know I found you. I could feel the warmth he sent through our link. “Where’d the new guy run off too?” Jasper looked around like I had. “He’s contacting the others. I guess he knows how to reach them.” I shrugged but I started to get nervous out of nowhere. “Don’t worry my love. They will be overjoyed to have you back.” Jackson caressed my cheek lovingly. “Jack’s right mo chroí.” Jasper scooped me up again and carried me out of the shower. “They’re right chere.” Jeremy was already waiting with a towel to dry me off. I nodded and tried to push the feelings away. They were right. My family had been searching for me so they would be happy I was found. I was worried more about how they would react to me. I was different than what they knew. From what Jonah said they had disappeared with me for ten years before I was taken away from them. I guess that meant I was twenty-six when I went missing. So after my years with the Agency, I was roughly about thirty six now. Young compared to my mates, except Jonah of course. Jeremy dried me off and Jackson brushed through my thick hair. Jasper had left to get me clothes. He had a habit of picking a dress for me to wear. Isabelle went shopping with him to get me some clothes, although I didn’t need them. Jake had managed to get all our stuff shipped here so my closet was almost full already. I had Luna and L go through it and get stuff for themselves. I was curvier than both of them but since we were around the same height my clothes fit them. Jasper of course came back with a sundress he had bought for me. I smiled, how’d I know. It was a light red, my favorite color. I allowed him to put the dress on me and didn’t complain or tease him. That’s what I normally did when he picked my outfit. He raised an eyebrow and allowed the dress to fall. I just shrugged. They all laughed as we went into the bedroom. I found Jonah sitting on the couch with a laptop open in front of him. I could hear someone talking but I couldn’t see the screen. I heard a man’s voice that seemed frantic. I saw Jonah nodding exhaustedly. I could tell from hearing the other person that they weren’t believing him. I sighed and walked over to Jonah. “Need help?” Jonah looked up at me and nodded. I allowed him to pull me down beside him. When I looked to the screen, I saw a man with pale blue eyes like mine. His hair was blonde though. His shock showed in his expression. “Vivian? I can’t believe it. He really found you. I can’t wait to tell your mother. We have so much catching up to do. We have missed you so much. We never stopped looking for you in the ten years you were missing.” “You must be Victor then. You are my father?” “You don’t remember me?” “The spell on my memory hasn’t been broken yet. I didn’t know about you or the others until tonight. I’m so sorry to cause everyone so much pain.” My voice was soft while I spoke to my father. “That’s why we couldn’t find you. Those bastards put a spell on your memories and probably your magic as well. I’ll kill ever last one of them. They will rue the day they messed with my princess.” The anger in his voice made me smile. “It’s alright…father. I was found by a very nice man who took me in. He taught me to fight and take care of myself. Even though I had no memory, I knew something was missing. I have a human family that looks after me though. They are wonderful people. I love them dearly.” “I’m glad someone took you in while we couldn’t find you. Jonah has sent us your location and I will be bringing your mother with me to finally see you again. I’ll have to try to get in touch with your brothers. Hard telling where they are. We are in Japan at the moment so it will take some time to get there. Please stay safe until we arrive. We love you Vivian.” After that the call ended. I sat beside Jonah just trying to absorb the fact that I spoke to my father. Jackson placed his hand on my shoulder which made me jump. He allowed Jonah to pull me onto his lap. I looked at my other three mates and could see the concern on their faces. I sighed and closed my eyes. One problem at a time. I had to remember what we promised each other. We would handle anything that came our way together, one problem at a time. I opened my eyes and looked at each man in turn. My heart swell with love for them. These men loved me before all of this craziness started. They hadn’t met me yet but they already had so much love in their hearts for me. I gave them a small smile. It seemed to relieve some of their worry. “I just talked to my father.” My voice was soft and full of awe. “That’s wonderful mo chroí.” Jasper’s face softened as he realized why I was quiet at first. “You’ll get to meet him soon chere.” Jeremy was smiling at me. “We will be right here with you, my love. I’m so happy they found you.” Jackson’s face was blank as he spoke. Something was bothering him. “Jackson? What’s wrong?” My voice came out tired as I tried to understand. “I am happy little one. I just worry about how they will react to all of us. Also, I think they might have an issue with your previous employment.” I tensed. “I never thought about that. They know about the prophecy so you guys they should be prepared for. The fact that I was an assassin might be a little difficult to understand.” I felt Jonah stiffened. “You were what?” I realized too late that I didn’t disclose that piece of information to him. “I was an assassin in the Agency. The best in fact. The human family I told you about was my crew. I’m on leave at the moment to get everything sorted. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go back to that life though. I was a workaholic and never really took a break. It meant my money just went into an account. I never really spent it. That’s why I have no problem buying food for Daryl.” “Speaking of Daryl.” Jeremy sighed and went to the door. “Hey Jay. Where’s our girl at?” Daryl sounded sleepy. Jonah raised his eyebrow to me. I laughed and got off his lap. “I’m here Daryl.” “There you are. I brought you something.” I heard Jackson explaining Daryl to Jonah. Daryl walked into the room with a tray. It was loaded with different foods from the party. He sat it on the floor by the couches. I couldn’t help laughing. He grinned at me. “Gretchen made you a to go bag. I guess it’s a tray really. Anyway, I’m going to bed. I’m so full that I’m exhausted. Good night Angel. See you tomorrow.” “Good night Daryl. Sleep well.” I laughed as he stumbled out of the room. “Chere, that man has never been this happy before. He is definitely your number one fan.” Jeremy shut the door laughing.
