Chapter 7

I looked around the room, trying to figure out what was going on. I felt my magic swirling inside me. I was back in our home. I felt different, freer. I felt panic in my mind coming from several sources. I must have been really gone. I took a deep breath and was hit with a memory. I was standing in a meadow of wildflowers and it was raining. I was fourteen. I saw myself spinning around laughing as my brothers tried to get me to hurry out of the rain. I gasped while the tears filled my eyes. I remembered them now. My family, all of them, I remembered everything. The door burst open and I began to sob. Jackson was the first to get to me. He crushed me to his chest whispering to me. Jeremy came barreling into the room in wolf form, Jasper and Jonah behind him. I looked at Jonah. My Jonah. I pried myself out of Jackson’s grasp and ran to him. Throwing my arms around his neck almost causing him to lose his balance. Jeremy was behind him helping him stay upright. I sobbed harder as I held him to me. Jasper and Jackson began running their fingers through my hair, Jeremy’s wolf nuzzled my leg. “I’m so sorry Jo.” My sobs were slowing down but my voice still broke. I felt Jonah stiffen, pushing back so he could see my face. “What did you just call me?” I smiled sadly and repeated, “I’m so sorry Jo.” The confusion transferred to shock before my eyes. “You always called me that when we were younger. I only ever heard my full name from your mouth once.” “The Goddesses help to destroy the spell on me. They had been invoked without permission. They helped me more than I could ever thank them for.” “What do you mean my love? We awoke and you were gone. When we couldn’t reach you, panic set in.” Jackson sounded puzzled. “When Jack couldn’t reach you that’s when we panicked. We thought someone had taken you mo chroí.” Jasper’s voice was strained. My tears stopped as I looked down at my wolf. He was whining. I’m alright wolfie. You can change back if you want. I smiled as he changed back and pulled me into his arms. “I was so scared chere. I can’t lose you.” “Hey can I get a turn? I was scared too.” I heard Jasper whine behind me. Jeremy handed me over with a laugh. I giggled and wrapped my arms around Jasper’s neck. “I could never leave you out Jasper. I love you too much.” “Do any of you realize what this means?” Jonah’s voice came out strained. “The spell on her is destroyed. The ones who put in on her will know. They’ll come after her now. Harder than before.” I slid down Jasper’s body once they realized what I already knew. Isabelle came running into the room with the others on her heels. She began to cry as she rushed me. I caught her when she almost collapsed. My magic coated her immediately. I felt myself healing her and strengthen her. Then I felt it. The boys in my vision. She was pregnant with twins. I looked to Luther and he was watching me carefully. Did he know yet? “Isabelle, it’s ok. I’m alright. I was in a meeting but I’m back now. Please stop crying.” My voice was soft as I tried to think of what to do about the babies. Did she even know? “I was so worried. None of us could find you or reach you.” Isabelle’s tears began to slow as she stared into my eyes. “You shouldn’t worry so much. It’s not good for you in your condition.” The shock on her face told me she had no idea she was pregnant. “My condition?” “You don’t know yet do you?” “Know what?” I placed my hand over her womb and smiled. “Your sons will need their mommy to take care of herself.” Azalea squealed and jumped up and down. Eren was all smiles as he congratulated Luther. The shock on Luther’s face was comical to say the least. He seemed in a daze, just staring at his mate. Isabelle was crying again but they were tears of joy this time. Jasper pulled me back when Luther moved. He pulled Isabelle into his arms declaring his love for her. “I felt them when I was strengthening you. They are just beginning their journey but they are strong. I can feel them already. They will be gifted.” Azalea pulled me into a hug. “This is the best news we have had. The only thing that would make it better is being able to destroy the spell on you my dear.” “That’s the meeting I was talking about. I was visited by the Goddesses that were invoked in the spell.” Azalea pulled back to look at me. “They removed their stolen spells and helped me destroy it completely. I have my memories again.” Azalea squealed again and jumped up and down. Since she had me in her grip I had to jump too. I laughed as the declaration soaked into the room. I saw everyone, including my human family, watching me in shock. Eren pulled Azalea away from me so others could get to me. Isabelle and Luther were focused on their new addition. Trying to figure out what should be done before they got here. “Angel? You have your memory back?” Jake sounded sad in a way. “I do Jake.” I walked to him and took his hands in mine. “Even with the memories back, you are still my brother. If the others can’t accept that then I don’t need them. You have been with me and we have been through so much. I will never allow anyone to take me from you.” He smiled and pulled me into a hug. Sara joined us, we both pulled her into the hug. The rest of my crew began to embrace us. I saw Adam and Ben standing off to the side smiling. I smiled back at both. Everything fell away when I looked into Adam’s eyes. I was running to the front of the house through the yard. The sounds of fighting were so loud. My heart was racing and I pushed myself to run faster. I rounded the corner of the house when I heard someone cry out. I saw Adam falling. I screamed. I came back to myself trembling. Was Adam the one I would lose. I could see everyone looking at me worriedly. My eyes were glued to Adam. He came toward me when he realized no one could break through the trance I was in. Jackson was squeezing my shoulders while Jasper rubbed my back. Jeremy had his hands in my hair and Jonah was holding my hand in his. The crowd parted when Adam reached us. The tears began to fall as he looked at me confused. I pulled away from everyone and crashed right into him. I held him as close to me as I could just sobbing, He was bewildered, I could feel it, but he wrapped me in his arms anyway. I could hear him telling me everything would be ok. My magic enveloped us, all I could think of was keeping him safe. I didn’t care who was around us as I wept in his arms. After a little time, he was able to pull back enough to see my face. I knew the grief was on my face, his eyes softened. “You saw something about me, didn’t you.” It was a statement but I still nodded. “You saw me die?” The tears continued to fall as I nodded again. He pulled me into his arms again, trying to comfort me. He may not be my mate, but I still loved him. I felt my mates’ mood shift once they heard what I saw. Before I just felt their anger, now I felt compassion from them. Adam pulled back again to look at me. “Don’t cry Angel. We all die at sometime. At least I’ll be around you until then.” He wiped a tear off my cheek with his thumb. “I can’t lose you.” My voice broke as I search my mind for a miracle. “You would have lost me at some point sweetie. I’m human. We don’t live as long as you do. I’m sorry that you’ll have to see all of us leave you when our time comes. You have made all of our lives so much better by just being in it. You are a true Angel to all of us.” He pulled me into a hug again, I continued to cry. I felt him hand me off to Jackson. I started to cry harder. Jackson picked me up and carried me to our room. I would stop this. Adam wouldn’t die. I refused to allow it. I made up my mind then and there that I wasn’t going to lose anyone. I don’t care what they said, I will protect my friends and family. I jumped away from Jackson so suddenly that he almost tripped trying to catch me. My tears had stopped. I looked at my mates and tried to come up with a way to prove the vision wrong. “What is it my love?” Jackson put his hands out in front of him like he was taming a wild animal. I felt like a wild animal. I was on edge and ready to fight. Deep down I knew this was me. I was wild and untamed, even when I was younger. An evil smile formed on my face as I realized I was even more dangerous now. Jonah was the only one to stay put when I chuckled. I saw his smile spread while he watched me. “I am whole again. Those bastards tried to turn me into a wraith to control me. When they couldn’t tame me and manipulate me, my parents took me away. It took them ten years to create their spell using stolen magic from the Goddesses themselves. Those same Goddesses took back the stolen magic inside of me. They were afraid of me before because of my wild streak. Wait until they see what I can do now.” My voice was low and deadly. “She’s back.” Jonah smiled as he stated this. “First things first. My vision was incomplete. I saw myself running around the house to the front. When I rounded the corner, I saw Adam fall. That doesn’t mean he died. I jumped to that conclusion before I thought about what I saw. I won’t let him die. I refuse to lose anyone. Selene gave me the gift of healing. I will use it to save anyone I care about.” “Chere? Did you say Selene? As in the moon Goddess?” Jeremy was shocked, it was clear in his voice and on his face. “She was one of the Goddesses that helped me. They told me that they gave me gifts before I was born. Selene gave me the ability to heal like a lycan. Gaia gave me the ability to communicate with living beings. Hecate gave me strong magical abilities. Pheobe gave me the gift of vision. Asteria gifted me a calming presence. Styx gifted me the wisdom of the dead.” “All six?” Jasper whispered into the room. “Those were the ones they invoked for the spell. Selene said the others that assisted in my creation wanted to talk to me too but they were the only ones allowed to.” I sounded confused as I told them. “Mo chroí, did you say the Goddesses assisted in creating you?” I could smell the fear coming off of Jasper. “Yes. They told me I’m as much theirs as I am my mothers.” The fear increased in the room. I shuddered as I began to be intoxicated by it. I could see my mates looking between each other. Why were they afraid? I felt Styx in my mind then. They fear what the cost is for us helping you Raven. The cost? We normally don’t do something for nothing. You were a special case. We knew that Pheobe’s prophecy had to be fulfilled. It would require our help. We made you an entirely different being. You are a wiccan but you also have a little bit of all the races inside of you. I wanted to give you one last gift Raven. I heard you ask your vampire about children. You most certainly will have his child. We will be watching over you my child. Then she was gone. “Vi?” Jonah was watching me closely. “I just spoke to Styx. She said you are afraid of the cost for their help. She told me I was a special case so there was not a cost for their help. I am their daughter as well.” I didn’t disclose anything else to them yet. “They gave you a name, didn’t they?” I looked at Jasper and nodded. “Chere. That means you were blessed by the Goddesses and they consider you their own.” “Jay, it means more than that.” Jackson voice was soft as he stared at me. “It means that Vi is a daughter of the Goddesses sent here through her mother. She is a blessing to this world not just us.” Jonah’s pride showed through his explanation. “You are literally a Goddess made flesh Vi.” “No wonder she’s perfect.” Jasper sounded smug. “I am not perfect. I really wish you guys would stop saying that.” I pouted at them. They looked between themselves then burst out laughing. It wasn’t funny. I crossed my arms over my chest and pouted. They laughed even harder. I rolled my eyes and made my way to my closet. I needed to burn off my energy. I pulled the dress over my head and went for my work out clothes. I was pulling a tank and shorts on when the guys joined me, still laughing. I ignored them and put my favorite boots on. “We’re sorry Vi. It was just funny seeing you get so mad over a compliment.” “I’m glad I can entertain you boys. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to burn off some energy. It’s time for weapons training.” I smiled wickedly and took off at a sprint out of the room before they could stop me. They kept up with me easily of course. Longer legs and all. The front door was open so I dove through it and off the porch. I could hear Jackson laughing as I poured on the speed. I saw Jake and the others in the distance getting set up. I ran straight for them. Lee noticed me first, then the guys behind me. He started laughing as I slid in the grass when I reached them. “I won.” I said triumphantly. Every started laughing then.
