Chapter 11

I was standing in the ballroom looking at the goblin tied to a chair. He hadn’t put up a fight when Daryl and Phillip grabbed him. They said he was remaining quiet so they didn’t know why he was here. His eyes were closed so he hadn’t seen my arrival. My mates were not very happy at the moment. On our way over to the ballroom, I informed them that I would handle the Adam situation alone. Jasper was currently pouting behind me. I felt the anger coming from Jackson and Jeremy even though they were pretending everything was fine. Jonah was just confused so he didn’t oppose my idea. Although he was mad at me for wanting to question the goblin myself. Alistair was with Jason, trying to locate one of my brothers. I was trying to be polite, good cop. Phillip had already been rough with him. My magic coated the creature before me. I saw him smirk but his eyes remained closed. I could feel his emotions clearly. He was calm and a little impatient. I searched for any ill will, finding none. So why was he here. I tried to see into his mind but there was something blocking me. I studied his face for a moment, trying to figure out why there was a block. His skin was gray but not like the other goblins I had seen. It was lighter somehow. His features were less sharp than they should have been. There was something about him that didn’t seem right. “There you are. I have been searching for you. I would like to join your group if you wouldn’t mind.” I could see his teeth when he spoke. They weren’t razor sharp. “Why would you do that?” Jackson was taking his anger out on him. “Jackson!” My voice whipped into the room. “It’s alright my lady. He is protective of you, as he should be. I am Ralph.” Through our exchange his eyes were closed. He opened his eyes and everyone froze. He had beautiful caramel eyes. They looked like regular eyes instead of the glassy ones that goblins normally had. I noticed then that his hair was different as well. It was a darker gray from his skin but it was thick on top of his head. Most goblins had thin hair that matched their skin color. “You’re a hybrid, aren’t you?” I wasn’t sure how I knew that. “Yes my lady. I am half goblin and half wiccan. My mother was mated to a goblin. When the councils found out about their relationship, they killed my father. My mother ran away before they could hurt her unborn child. I was born in secret. My mother taught me about the prophecy. She said I could finally come out of hiding. I decided then that I would help you in any way I could.” “Ralph, I don’t know what to say. I’m so sorry about your father. Will your mother be joining us as well?” The ropes released him upon my command. “She passed after I came of age. My father has her back now.” The sadness in his voice overwhelmed me. “At least they are together again. You can consider us your family from now on. I would be honored to have you help me. I think there is one cabin left, I can show you which one. It can be your home if you like.” “I’ll show him poppet.” Phillip stepped up to my side. We turned to go when the door opened. Gayle came walking in as if in a dream. I saw Ralph out of the corner of my eye freeze. No one moved. Gayle walked towards him with a small smile on her lips. I watched as she stretched her hand out to him. It seemed to break through his shock. He swept her into his arms, crushing her to him. Gretchen and Gerald appeared then. I could see her happiness. The tears falling from her eyes were happy. Another of their daughter’s has found their mate. I nodded to Gretchen and left the room. They would need to talk as a family. I walked right into Daryl by the stairs. He caught me and steadied me before I fell. He laughed and headed to the kitchen. I shook my head smiling. Once I was on the porch I closed my eyes. So many were counting on me. So many couples were involved now. The pressure was starting to get to me. What if I couldn’t do this? They would all be treated like Ralph’s parents. My heart broke with the thought. My eyes snapped open. I could feel someone watching me. Jonah had followed me since he was the only one not upset with me about Adam. He stilled immediately. My head turned to the drive, where the feeling was coming from. There stood a man that I never expected. His blue eyes and Black hair were like my own. The shock on his face didn’t distract from his handsome features. My brother Alexander was staring at me like I was a ghost. “It can’t be.” His whispered. My smile spread and I launched myself off the porch in a sprint. He caught me up once I was close enough. I could feel the relief and joy coming from him so strong. He was whispering into my hair but I couldn’t make any of it out. I hugged him tighter trying to reassure him that it was me. I heard others walking towards us. “I see you finally made it.” Alistair teased our oldest brother. Alex pulled back to look into my face. “It is really you. I couldn’t believe it at first. We have been looking for so long.” “I’m sorry Alex. My memory and magic were blocked. Alistair just got here too and wants to know everything. Maybe we should wait for everyone to get here then I can tell all of you at once.” I was nervous about how they would take my life after I went missing. “Gracie, why are you nervous?” I forgot Alistair was an empath as well. “I don’t know how any of you will react to my story. While you were looking for me, I wasn’t idle. I don’t want to upset any of you. You’ve been through enough already.” I hung my head and sighed. Alex tilted my head back up by my chin. “Gracie, we have longed to find you for so long. We don’t care what happened in that time as long as we have you back now. You didn’t cause any of this and whatever you did means nothing. You didn’t know about us. You had to survive on your own. I’m sure we will be able to handle whatever it is you will tell us.” Alex was always trying to keep the peace with us. He was calm and wise. A memory of us surfaced. I was five and couldn’t sit still any longer. Alex had taken me to the library close to our home. He was researching something and had to watch me as well. I remembered whining about being bored. Alex just smiled and scooped me up. He took me to the kid’s books and let me pick one out. He sat in the chairs with me on his lap, reading the story to me. “Alright! Move, it’s our turn!” A voice rang out behind Alex. I laughed when I saw my twin brothers. Anthony looked dirty but Andrew was dirtier. Their hazel eyes held barely contained excitement. I giggled when I noticed their blond hair was cut into a mohawk. Alex released me. I jumped into their arms laughing. All of my brothers were taller than me so my feet left the ground when they hugged me. Andy and Tony were the tallest at six four. They were sandwiching me between them laughing at my enthusiasm. Four of my brothers were already here and my heart soared. I knew I was getting dirty between the two but I didn’t care. It felt so good to be with them again. “Ok dirt balls, let her go. She’s going to need a shower after hugging you two.” Alistair was laughing. “I don’t care. I’m just happy that you guys are here. I am so sorry for being gone. I know you guys missed me. I wish I could say the same.” Tony and Andy both stiffened. “What?” They hardly talked together like that. Jonah answered for me, “the spell blocked her memories. She didn’t remember any of us. Since the spell is completely destroyed now she knows us again.” “Oh Gracie. No wonder we couldn’t find you. It’s probably a good thing about your memories.” Andy started to talk. “I think it would have been worse if we knew you missed us as much as we missed you.” Tony finished for him. “Hold the judgement on the severity until you hear where I’ve been and what I was doing. I was found and taken into the human world. Once Aiden and our parents arrive, I can tell everyone. I just don’t want any of you to be upset.” “Gracie, we could never be upset with you. No matter what you have to tell us, you will forever be our little princess.” Tony smiled at me. I smiled back. My other mates joined us then. I looked toward them. They were still upset with me. I bit my lip and sighed. “I have some people to introduce you guys to. You all know Jonah but there are three others you need to meet.” I stood between Tony and Andy facing my mates. Alex asked first. “Who you got little sister?” He and Alistair joined us to look at my men. “Jonah you know. He is my wiccan mate. Next to him is Jeremy. He’s my lycan mate.” My four brothers froze in place. Andy whispered, “the prophecy.” “The one next to him is my Fae mate, Jasper. Jackson is my vampire mate.” “So it’s true. They took you because of the prophecy.” Alex sounded furious. Jason came running up to me before we could say anything else. He was holding a paper in his hand. “Angel! I found him!” “Aiden? Where is he?” “Not far from here actually. It took some doing. He can cover his tracks pretty good. I don’t think anyone else would be able to find him.” “Jason you are a miracle worker! Give me the location and I’ll get him myself.” “Oh your bike is here. Jake had everyone’s delivered here. They were missing yours, but it’s here now.” Jason was so happy. I hugged Jason to me. He gave me the paper and took off to get my bike ready for me. He knew I would want to ride it now that it was here. I had built it myself. It was an Angel original and the first I had made. I ended up making one for Jake and Sara after they fell in love with mine. Brooks and Lee built theirs with my help. I had just built Jason’s during our lock down. The black and red bike was sparkling in the setting sun. I turned on my heels and headed to our room. I needed to change. I was going to get my brother. No one would stop me. I didn’t have time to mess around with any of them. Aiden needed me, I could feel it. Please hold on Aiden, I’m coming. I felt everyone following me. I paid them no mind. I walked straight for my closet once inside our room. I sat the paper on a bench in my closet and stripped my clothes off. I had put my leathers away myself. I pulled the leather pants on, which was difficult since I didn’t take my boots off. I managed and grabbed a corset. I would ready myself for a fight if I needed to. Zipping up my corset I felt them watching me. I grabbed my jacket and a weapon’s bag. Everyone was looking at me curiously. I kept forgetting that Jeremy was the only one used to this look. They parted and allowed me out of the closet. I tossed my jacket on the bed and used my finger print to open the bag. “What the…?” I heard Tony trail off. I just pulled out the shoulder holster and put it on. I didn’t say anything as I pulled clips and ammo out of the bag. I had to hurry, I could feel the urgency in my bones. I quickly loaded two clips, attaching them to the holster. I loaded the third and retrieved my gun. The nine millimeter was custom made by John. It had angel wings on the handle. I loaded the clip and holstered my gun. I snatched my jacket up and took off. “Does someone want to tell me why my sister looks like a bad ass right now.” Andy seemed upset. “Because she is. You’ll find out soon enough.” Jeremy sounded tired. “I have to get to Aiden quickly. I can feel it. All of you stay here. Jason can track me from the command center. I don’t have time to slow down for any of you to keep up with my bike. Don’t say a word about me not going alone either. I will knock you out myself.” I had reached my bike during my warning. The location was locked in my brain because of the feeling. I hadn’t looked at the paper once. Jason was waiting for me by the bike. “Tank’s full. I’ll be watching.” “Thanks Jason. The others will be joining you. Keep in touch if you need me.” I pulled my hair up in a messy bun. My bike started easily. I smiled while she purred. I missed you too baby girl. Jason handed me some riding glasses and an earpiece. He moved back while I put the earpiece in. I shoved the glasses on my face, praying I wasn’t too late. I didn’t wait any longer as I took off toward the final missing brother. I slid onto the road with ease. Aiden’s locate was at the first house we had stayed in. I felt an overwhelming sadness in my heart. It was Aiden. I accelerated faster. I would make it in time. I had to. I rode smoothly through the streets in and out of traffic. I had to get on the sidewalk sometimes but I managed. I was almost to him. I saw the lights behind me and groaned. I did not have time for this. Jason chimed in my ear. “I have company.” “I see that. Give me a sec.” The car began to slow and sputter. “Why they switched to electric is beyond me.” “Thanks Jason.” I mashed the hand break causing the back end of my bike to go into the air. I swung my bike around so I was facing the direction I needed to go. I took off as soon as the back tire made contact. Just hold on a little longer Aiden. I felt the magic when I was within a hundred feet of the house. I stopped my bike and jumped off. I could feel Mordred close. I was going to kill him if he hurt my brother. I was in the house scanning before I noticed I was walking into a trap.
