Tessa listened to what Ryan Harper said. It wasn’t anything different than what she’d researched only a few months ago. Rick Fry had come to Nantucket Point with his family. Caroline, who was older than Rick, hadn’t come. She’d been engaged, and she’d spent that year—1974—in New Jersey with her soon-to-be husband. Tessa had never heard Riggs speak of a sister, but that didn’t mean she didn’t exist. Ryan and Helen both said they’d met Caroline on previous occasions, she simply hadn’t been present on the island that fateful summer.
