Chapter two

624 Words
She woke up in the hospital 4 hours later. When she woke up the fist thing that flashed thru her mind “oh s**t work.” At that moment she noticed she wasn’t alone, in what looked more like a luxury hotel room then a hospital suit. There was a man sitting in a chair sleeping. He was the man who saved her from what she vaguely remembered. Then she panicked “my daughter? Who’s going to pick her up from day care? I have to get out of here.” She had no choice, she started moving about on the bed causing the sleeping man to wake from his slumber. “ What are you doing? You just suffered from a concussion and blacked out you shouldn’t be moving about. You literally just woke up from a slight coma. Who does that?” Said the man sounding agitated that she was being careless with herself. She heard his word but she couldn’t understand not one word. The man who was standing over her was towing over her. At 6’5 Zachariah P Moore, who was as dark as a starless night sky, with one big dimple on his left cheek and a smaller one on her chin, hazel eyes that seem to pierce one’s soul. The gray suit her wore today was a simple gray Armani suit a black button down shirt and black Valentino shoes. His arms tho were well defined. They made his suit look like it was tailored made just for him. He clearly had to be a model she thought. “Um thank you, but I need to get to work then pick up my daughter from school.” He looked at her “she’s a mom. She looks so young.” he thought. The expression on his face changed immediately, he pulled out his phone to make a call. “Where does she go to school?” “Huh are you crazy?” She look at the man. She then felt dizzy because at that point she tried to get up really quickly from the bed. This action made Zach jump up to her bed side to try and calm her and down. “Maybe I should take a few minutes to rest.” She shook her head trying to stop the dizzy feeling which only made her head feel worse. Sitting there watching her he realized how what he asked her could have sounded scary to a single parent. “I’m sorry. I can be bossy at times and usually bark orders at my assistant but I have him these next few day off some he got sick on me. But, I can arrange for my driver to pick her up and bring her her right to you. You can even FaceTime her the whole way here that way you won’t have to feel anxious trying to get to her. I’m pretty sure being anxious won’t help any.” She look up at the man like must’ve been a mind reader. Just then, he said with a very serious tone and face “I promise, I’d never do anything to harm you or your daughter I’m more then willing to give the school my drivers license and my cars plate number.” “Why are you doing this? Why are you being so nice to me?” Annie’s voice was so small, she wasn’t sure he had heard her “Are you not use to nice?” He asked with a smile that showed off his dimple,a combination that had her head feeling light. Like she was being lifted off the ground. It felt nice. She heard his question and with dooy eyes she said “ not really.”
