Chapter 25With all of December free from all the rush in my life, I decided I might have time to go up to Brenton Village and assess my new condo. I called Pat.
“Any special plans for next week?” I asked.
“Just work, why?”
“Feel like driving up to Brenton?”

I had to laugh. I knew she’d be surprised.
“I checked everything out. If we fly there, we’d have to go out to Logan with our luggage, fly to Albany, collect our luggage, then take the shuttle bus over to Brenton. If we drive it will basically take the same amount of time, and we’ll be able to bring back anything I find there that I want.”
“The same amount of time?”
