Lake watched as Zach jumped when he heard something to his left. He didn’t know why he was so on edge. There was nothing out there that Lake would allow close enough to Zach in order to hurt him. He would protect the man against anyone and anything... even if it meant his own death.
Okay, maybe the man didn’t know that, but Lake knew it. Maybe he should try and relax Zach a bit. “We could always go inside the plane. It would give more cover and...”
“No,” Zach said, shaking his head. “I don’t feel right going in there... not with the four... it just feels wrong.”
