“You are behind all of this?” I asked.
“Why of course I am,” he said rolling his eyes. “I couldn’t have you running around figuring out who you really were,” he said with a shrug. “I mean after all you are the only one who can dethrone me.”
“So, this is all about power?”
“No this is about revenge!” he yelled while stepping towards me, grabbing my chin, forcing me to look at him. “Your mother and father had it all while I was cast aside left with nothing,” he spat. “They had it coming. They both did.”
“They had it coming.”
“You know, I intended to kill you right here, right now,” he said with a blank expression. “But now that I know, that you mated with your Shane, I think I have better use of you alive than dead.”
