NEARLY THREE YEARS LATER
Mia held on as Brax tried to roll out of bed.
“Baby, I’ve got to get ready for work.”
She groaned in protest and nipped at his bare shoulder. “Stupid bills. I’d so much rather start my day with you than coffee.”
He hauled her against his morning wood. “If we hadn’t already definitively proved we can’t keep track of time in the shower, I’d indulge you. But I can’t afford to be late again.” With a deep, lingering kiss that had her sinking into sleepy pleasure, he pulled away and climbed out of bed, tucking the covers around her. “You’ve got twenty more minutes before you have to be up. Doze a little.”
