Brooke wins three more shows in the next two weeks, and by end of the third week, we’re well on our way to paying Fiona back for everything she ever gave us. The only thing Fiona won’t let us pay her back for is the cost of the Mercedes.
“I love Jason’s Lexus,” she explained at the party, before I went into Brooke’s room to deal with the nightmare she won’t tell me about. “I replaced the license plate and drive it, like, every day.”
Jason seemed not only flattered, but interested. I watched them closely all night, and even though Jason never crossed any boundaries of loyalty to Brooke, it was evident how well they got along.
