After giving their mother her coffee and telling their parents he had to return to Charlotte for a few days, Ran and Alex went down to the parking lot.
He handed Alex the keys to the Cadillac and got into the passenger seat. He needed to find a flight that wasn’t days away or that didn’t take twelve hours and eight cities before reaching Charlotte.
So while his brother dealt with traffic, he spent the drive to his hotel on his phone, booking a flight with the charter company Parrish had used for his trip to Miami. This time, though, it wasn’t quite as easy.
