Chapter 12When Marin took Tyler home around noon on Tuesday, planning on them being there only long enough for the younger man to change into clean clothes, Tyler’s mother had other ideas.
“I want to hear all about everything,” she said after practically ordering them to sit while she fixed lunch. “Well, maybe not everything, but…” She winked.
“Mom.” Tyler shook his head, throwing a questioning look Marin’s way.
“We’ll stay on one condition,” Marin told her. “You sit and we’ll make…sandwiches?”
“Well, I was planning on creating a gourmet meal,” she teased.
Tyler rolled his eyes while putting together what was needed for less than gourmet sandwiches. When they were made, they sat at the kitchen table to eat while he gave his mother a highly edited version of their hike in the mountains
