I thought the police investigation was over when Naya and I didn’t see the cops at the school anymore. I also thought my parents would stop sending me to school and just let me carpool with Naya. And I thought Thad and Theo would be calling more often now that I had been answering his calls. Somehow.
My best and I didn’t get to avoid the police this time so we had no choice but just to lie our a*sses off in their faces. It seemed they bought it because they didn’t bug me or Naya later after that. I heard the investigation was still ongoing though.
Sooner however I learned how I got away and my alibi was bought by the police. My parents.
