Chapter - 09

SKYLAR's  P.O.V

Jace kissed me on the lip and winked.  I knew what he meant when he said that but I didn't expected him get into action that fast. My eyes widened at his little action and froze me on the spot.

I heard Lexi, Kylie and Riley going "oooo" and then reality hit me that everyone saw him kissing me. Plus I saw Kyle making a video of our little banter. My face wash flushed.

To pull me out of my own little world, Jace pulled me on his chest by putting his hand on my shoulder and said in my ear doll breathe in and out. And I followed his instructions.

When I got sober, the first thing I did was pulled Jace ear. He immediately leaned on my hand but I only pinched him hard and narrowed my eyes.

"Why did you do that ?"

"Awwu... Awuu... Doll... Baby... I was just messing with you awwuu"

When he said the mess word I pulled his ear. This is what he's gonna get for messing with Skylar grace.

Our friends were laughing uncontrollably and mimicking Jace. Jace and I were in our own when Kylie was making a video.

"You gonna mess with me again?"

I asked glaring. Jace smirked and I turned that smirk in pain again and he accepted his defeat.

"Okhayy okhayy..!!! I won't do it again!"

Is this how you gonna treat your future boyfriend? I heard him saying but ignored it smiling inwardly and ran my fingers through my hair to pretend as if I didn't heard him. But...

But people around us isn't gonna pretend right? Because Lexi heard it and immediately got excited. She was like...

"Oww future boyfriend.... Someone has plans already"

I wanted to roll my eyes so badly at that but stopped myself. Kylie was beside me and she also got so happy. She tickled me and made giggle.

But the topic change as soon as the bell rings and we walked out of the cafeteria. Jace said he has a practice so he's gonna see me at the match. I nodded and turned on my way but he pulled me through my hand and asked for a good luck kiss. I gave him one and left. To say I was blushing is an understatement because I was f*****g Tomato red.

After the school finished, I went to my locker and stuffed my things in it before retrieving the his tshirt. Matthews. I read and ran my finger tips on it before going to the washroom to slip in this tshirt.

I was walking towards the ground when Sam came and booed in my ear making me jump. I put my palm on the heart and shake my head at his sneaking.

"Going somewhere Matthews?"

Sam asked cheekily while craning his head back to look at the surname. I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"Yeah... You wanna join?"

"No.. no... I have a match already. But here!"

He said and fitted his cap on my head and flipped my nose with his pointer finger before parting ways.

"See you at the party."

"Sure... See ya..."

I waved my hand one last time and went to the badminton field. When I reached there immediately I found Jace shaking hands with his opponent and patting his back.

Half of the school was already presented there. I took my seat, from where I could see the full game clearly. Jace saw me and winked. Making me blush. We nodded and he started the game.

At the starting it was going smoothly, Jace was making his opponent dance by giving the service tough, so his opponent get tired. Jace didn't even move from his spot.

The game was for three rounds, Jace won the first and now they got an interval for 2 minutes. He went to his coach and they started talking. May be making strategies. A girl came and gave him the water.

He ran to where I was sitting and said thank you. When I asked for what, he told me that he didn't thought I would come. I rolled my eyes and said even if I wanted to, I couldn't miss this game.

The second round started and this time Jaces opponent looked prepared abd determined. He started tough and this time he made Jace dance. But still a smile crept on Jace lips and he gave him back.

Unluckily Jace lost the second round and the smile he was supporting on his face was no longer there. In the second break I went to him and squeezed his hand in mine to let him know that don't lose hope.

"Jace I want that trophy to be yours"

I said. I know its going to be a extra pressure on him but he needed it. My words made his eyes twinkle and he smiled genuinely.

"You want that trophy?? I'll get it for you. Just wait and watch"

I nodded and gave him a peck on cheek before letting him go. The game was about to start.

The final round game started and halfway through it both were neck to neck. It was like if I blink once and I lose an important smack of the racket.

And finally Jace won. He was so happy that he scream at the top of his lungs and threw the racket in the air. I ran towards him and jumped on him. He easily catched me and moved in circle..

"I won!!!! I won the f*****g game doll!!! I told you that I will get you that trophy"

Jace was so happy. He put me down and kissed me right on the lips infront of school.

"Can't get any better moment than this."

He stated looking into my eyes and then again smashed his lips on mine. I was also happy for him.

"Congratulations my boogeyman"

I said inbetween the kiss and he smirked. His hands were cupping my face went to my waist and tickled me for giving him this nickname.

"Boogeyman??? Real mature doll"

I instantly screech and turned to ran away from him so that he couldn't tickle me anymore but Jace lift me by the waist.

"Jace put me down everyone is watching"

"First tell me whose a boogeyman?"

"I... Me... I am the boogeyman... Now put me down"

"But in one condition"

"No-nooo... "

"Okay I am not putting you down*

"Alright... What do you want"

"A yes for a date"

"Whattt.... No"

"Oh yeaaa??? Then why did you kiss me back?"

"Fine I will go with you... Now put me down"

Jace finally put me down on my feet and winked. I elbow him and then he walked to the area where they are going to give him the trophy. Jace told me wait for him and I said ok.

Our principal Ms Cohan, congratulate Jace and gave him the trophy while shaking the hands. The coach also congratulate him. Jace said on the mic that the credit goes to his coach and it wouldn't be possible if he didn't whoop my a*s everytime I threw a tantrum on him.'

Everyone laughed at his little speech and hollered. At last he thanked everyone for coming to the game and believing in him. He said the last words looking right in my eyes. And I knew he said it for me. I smiled and gave him a thumbs up.

After everything got finished he made his way to me and instantly put his hand on my shoulder. I pulled my phone out and clicked few picture of us together then walked to the parking lot together.

I started his car and he put the address of Kylie. I drove the car slow to spend extra time with him but this little bug understood what I was doing and started teasing me.

"Doll just say the word"

He said. His grinning making it hard not to blush.

"What???"

Acting innocently I moved my shoulder up till my ear and jutted out my lip like I didn't get what he's indicating.

"The thing you doing"

He laughed without a noise and moved his eyebrows up and down in different angle.

"I ain't doing anything"

I laughed too but didn't accepted.

"Ok... Okayyy..."

Jace bobbled his head up and down and started singing.

We reached at Kylie place, I saw her house and it was the beautiful one. The color was the combination of ivory and Prussian blue. It looked like a dream house. The picket fences and the front porch had a coffee table.

I saw Kylie running out of the house in a pink loose spaghetti strap crop top with shorts. Behind her was her little sister in a same dressing style. Kylie reached us then looked back at her little sister only to shout I won.

"Yo you gotta big pencil like legs... Ofcourse you were going to win"

Kylie's little sister spat and Kylie stuck her tongue out at her then opened my side of the door.

Jace and I were laughing at Kylie's  little sister's words when Kylie unhooked the seat belt and pulled me out by my waist. She kicked the door closed and said.

"Thats the way Matthews"

She flipped him off and dragged me to her house. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Jace. I saw Jace flipping Kylie back and retrieve.

"Lexi & June is already here. We were planning to watch a movie then talk about the boys and do some pampering"

I looked down and widened my eyes at her words. If they are going to talk about the boys then they are definitely gonna raise Jace topic too.

"Yeah sure..."

I squeaked out and enter the house. Just like outside the inside was also decorated like someone did spent a lot of time in it. Everything was picture perfect.

"The old folks went out so we have the whole house to ourselves."

Kylie said and I nodded then realised she's ahead of me and said yes'.

As we enter her room, I saw Lexi already making herself at home. She was only in her  undergarment and talking about her bosom.   I was like okayyy...

I looked around at the lilac painted room and immediately went to the part where small black frames were hanging. Instantly I knew that Kylie's feature are descended from her mom and only her amber eyes were from her father. There were some pictures of her with the little sister and some from our group.

I went to sit on a recliner with June. She was on her phone scrolling. She smiled and put her phone aside. After Kylie locked her room door, she came to us all happy and said I wanna show you guys something.

"So hows this? I got it for tomorrow's party. Richie said I am gonna look like a hoe. Can you guys believe that she said that word."

Richie is Kylie's little sister. The dress she was talking about was revealing but it was sexy.

"Oh god... Told you, your sister got a big mouth... Keep her in control... By the way the dress is gonna look sexy on you."

Lexi replied to Kylie and looked at me and June for affirmation. We nodded simultaneously and Kylie jumped in happiness.

We talked for a while then I changed into a pajama shorts and shirt. June bring the face pack for all of us and went deep into our conversations. The movie was playing in the background and we were talking about the boys.

"So Sky.... What do you think about Jacey-Jacey"

I immediately blushed hard but with the face pack I got myself saved. All the three pairs of eyes were on me.

"What about him?"

I still haven't talked to myself about Jace, what can I answer them.

"What... What?? Do you like him or not?"

June asked. Her dove like eyes boring into mine.

"I don't know?? "

I threw my hands up in the air and said. There were mixed feelings and kisses but that doesn't mean anything to him right?

"Ok!!! We will ask you some rapid fire questions about him and you will answer the first word comes into your mind.

"Jace favourite colour?"

"Black"

"Where was the first time you met him"

"Neighbours party"

"Jace mobile password"

"Dollars"

"Jace favourite place"

"The river bridge"

"When was the last time you guys kissed?

"At Today's game"

"Do you get butterfly everytime you see him?"

"Yes"

"Do you feel like killing him at the same time?"

"Yes... No..."

"Do you like him"

"Yes"

Just when I sputter the word out, the door banged open and we screamed in horror. Even the actor in the movie was screaming. Scaring us to the core.
