I was drifting in a void, no form, no voice. I couldn’t see anything, but I could hear everything. Someone must have told Adam what was going on because his voice was constantly in my ear. “Babe, please come back to me. Our daughters are gorgeous just like you, but they need their mommy. I’ve been so freaking thoughtless and irresponsible in my actions toward you. I need you, Becky. Please come back to me.” his voice faded as the blackness took over again. “Sweetie, you need to wake up now. Adam won’t give the girls names because he wants your input. They are so cute and tiny. The doctors got them out as soon as it was safe and they are in the NICU growing stronger each day. Please wake up, Sweetie, I miss you.” Grandpa’s voice spoke softly to me in the void before fading out.
