"You told me she had asked for help!" Trevis shouted at the man who happened to be his boss, sitting behind his mahogany wooden desk.
"She did.." He replied, calmly and slightly amused too.
"Then why did she refuse to co-operate? And how can she ask for help when she doesn't know you!" Trevis was still stung by her refusal to be helped and his trip going in vain.
"Did you illuminate her? Tell her about us and what we do?" He asked, still sounding amused.
"Yeah, I am not crazy," Trevis mumbled.
The man behind the table guffawed.
"You could have just apparated with her even if she wasn't cooperating."
"Yeah sure, the wolf was already there by then. He would have hunted me down."
"Why did you ask for her permission at all? Do you li...?"
"Because I am nothing if not a gentleman!"
The boss laughs again. "Remind me that the next time I catch you doing.."
"Okay! Okay! Stop! It's just that you aid she had asked for your help, so I thought obviously she would let me help!"
"Also, she is many things and a damsel in distress is not one of them, I assure you!" He adds as an after-thought.
"She might not be that but she needs help, even if she doesn't want it. She is with Rio now. I want you to get her. And this time be prepared for her to not co-operate. Am I clear?" The man asks Trevis solemnly.
"What am I to do with her?"
"Drop her someplace safe and try not to be seen this time?" The amusement was back in his voice.
Trevis just nodded before turning around and leaving like a man on a mission.
