A few days later…
The day dawned crisp, the chill in the air a promise of the coming winter. A smattering of clouds chased each other and the trees held tight to the last of their leaves. A flock of geese on their way south let the world know of their passing as they flew overhead, their honks another instrument of the fall music. Keston stood before the window in the master bedroom, just able to make out the lake in the distance between the nearly skeletal branches.
