ZAINA DIVIDED HER TIME in the next few days between combing the area immediately surrounding the palace for prince Nayek’s supporters or their activities, and interviewing Aranians who had been picked up by other teams.
Many of the Aranians she had seen before; some she had spoken with; and by far most of them were, like herself, refugees who wanted nothing to do with the struggle between the two princes and had no interest in icefire or dealings with the nobles. They were let go as soon as the interview was done.
